This month I won the non-fiction competition for my story about My Paranormal Experience. I got 19.3 out of 20 for it. Four out of five of the judges gave me 20/20 for this piece. Needless to say I知 rather pleased. I知 going for the fiction competition for June, and maybe the poetry one as well. My aim is to get a banner from each category and then I値l stop entering to give others a chance, lol. I知 not greedy. Besides, there are bound to be some new competitions soon and I値l be entering those.

I'm so chuffed (eh, that means 'pleased' to my friends outside of the UK). I just found out that I won a WritersBeat comp! It was the Limerick one, this was my entry:

I'm adding some more stuff to my profile so I can enter the Profile Contest. I've been off work for the last week, hacking my guts up after catching a cold while I was in London for my book launch, and then developing a chest infection as a result.
Feeling rather crapola. But hey, that won稚 stop me from logging onto my favourite writing site.

Not really sure what to write here as I already have another blog going on at MySpace, but what they hey! I知 very busy at the moment trying to market my book which is due out on Feb 3rd 2007.
It痴 exciting with the build-up. There痴 a pre-launch event on the 1st Feb, with me doing a reading. I heard last night that I値l be doing a book signing evening here in Cardiff, which will also involve a reading and champagne. Oh dear, must remember to read first before drinking. I知 doing a lot of networking with other writers and trying to continue with the book I知 currently writing. I致e also got my publisher interested in some of my novels (I have four unpublished sitting in a drawer), so hoping to talk to them about that after the launch of Seven Days.
Phew, busy times!
