Default Ocean of Dreams

Okay, this is a story I started over a year ago...when I moved I thought it got deleted or something. I did have the whole story saved into my email but I guess I accidentally deleted it from there. Today while I was cleaning up my computer I found it. It's not very good, I pretty much wrote it during my classes at school, so I didn't put much into it. Anyways, I would love some feedback on this.

Ocean of Dreams
Chapter One
It was about five thirty in the morning. Camryn just entered her bathroom. The blue and pink combined perfectly with the white on the walls and the white sink. She’s lived in this house for years now. This has been her bathroom for as long as she could remember. Camryn’s alarm clock had just gone off in the best part of her dream, again. She was of course dreaming of her most favorite show and her favorite guy on the show. Durham Bay and Nathan Rody from the show. It was shot about an hour from where she lived. Every weekend Camryn would travel to South beach to see if she could find the stars, so far-no luck. Camryn reached over and turned the shower on to hot and shut the curtain waiting for it to get warm. Every morning she did the same thing; shower, dress, eat, hair, make-up, then it was off to get Gabriel for school. Camryn owned a blue ’98 Pontiac Firebird. Her parents and uncle worked together to get it for her. It was her most prized possession.
Camryn pulled into Gabi’s driveway. It was just paved over black. It’s looked really nice. Gabi ran out the front door with her sports stuff in hand. She watched as she threw them into the trunk of the car then climbed into the front next to her.
“Morning.” Gabi said smiling at Camryn.
“Hey Gabi, how are things today?” She asked backing out of the driveway and pulling away. Camryn glanced at the houses down the street as she drove and listened to Gabi tell her about the conversation she had with her boyfriend the night before and what she was planning to do when she got home today.
“So how are things today with you? Any luck with the traveling to south beach?” Gabi asked.
“Yeah right if there was you would have known it by now, I don’t understand I go every weekend hoping to just see one of the stars from Durham Bay but no I don’t even get that much, which sucks major.” Camryn Mitchell said to Gabi. She glanced to her left and saw the student parking lot at her school. It was probably the biggest student parking lot around. There were enough spaces for all the juniors, seniors and sophomores, plus extra spaces left over.
Every day Camryn parked in the same place. Right by the side exit, so when either she or Gabi got out of class, they could get to the car and get it started. Camryn had given Gabi a key to the car about two months ago. They were best friends almost like sisters. If they lived together they would be sisters. The only difference; they never fought, ever.
“So are you staying after for play practice today?” Gabi asked her as she unbuckled her seatbelt and grabbed her stuff from the trunk.
Camryn grabbed her book bag and shut the trunk and locked the car up.
“Yeah, so I’ll meet you around by the field, I’m leaving practice early today since I’m only teaching the dances today.” Camryn stated.
She entered the double doors into the school. It felt so big when she was a freshman, but now it didn’t seem so big to her. The lobby was filled with pictures of all the sports and plays and activities that were provided at school. They’re mascot was the tiger. It wasn’t the best but everyone got with it. The school colors were yellow and orange. It was fun having two really weird colors put together, but then again she did go to school in North Carolina.
Camryn walked down the hallway to her first period class. Not many students were in the class room yet. A lot showed up right before the bell rang anyways. Camryn was always early to class, she hates being late. Her seat was in the back of the class room. The teacher never assigned seats to the class; he just let them sit where they wanted.
Students soon started to pour into the class room which meant that the bell would ring any minute and class would start. Camryn pulled out her binder and pencil getting ready for her first class.

The day went by pretty slow for Camryn, first was boring as always to her. Second was also really boring, third didn’t get much better. Fourth period was fun. It was her favorite class. The teacher was the best, the class was nice, and everyone just had fun. Today they were having a free day, so they went down to the auditorium and just had the best time. Camryn and Gabi were both in that class so they sat and talked about what they will do this weekend.
“Well I do want to take another trip to south beach. It will probably be my last one.” Camryn said to Gabi shifting in her seat.
“Okay well how about I go with you this time. Brent and I both will. He’s wanted to go on a trip with me for ages, and then you can go to south beach and have a good time with us, and look for your guy at the same time!” Gabi said to her smiling huge because she knew it was a great idea.
“Come on Cami…” Gabi begged. Brent who came up behind Gabi when she said that smiled and looked at Camryn.

“Please Cami.” He pleaded.
Camryn laughed and smiled, “Okay.”
“YEAH!” Brent screamed, “Why am I saying yeah? What are we doing?” He asked confused.
Gabi laughed and turned around to face Brent.
“This weekend you, Camryn and I are all going to south beach for a trip. Camryn has been going by her self every weekend so I thought since you wanted to go on trip with me this would be the perfect time to go. So are you in or out?” Gabi asked him.
“In.” Brent said to Gabi kisses her forehead.
Camryn smiled lightly at them, it was great that her best friend was going with her but now she’ll feel like the third wheel not having a boyfriend.
The last bell of the day rang and everyone exited the auditorium. Camryn however stayed put, she had play practice in about fifteen minutes so she figured she would help get the stereo set up and change into her dance clothes.
Slowly students that were in the spring play started to file into the auditorium getting ready for the long practice that was ahead of them. Their director Mrs. Richardson who was also a teacher at the school was really loose on things, but when it came to play practice she was strict.

Practice was until 5:30 that night but Camryn was only teaching the dancing parts that night so she left at 4:30 so she could also take Gabi home with out her having to wait an hour.
Chapter Two

The week wasn’t really a slow week but it wasn’t that fast either. Camryn was happy for it to be Friday because that meant no school for two days, but she still had to be stuck being the third wheel in a trip an hour away from home. Gabi was of course so excited about it like it was the best thing happening that year.

“Just be really careful sweetie, okay? Now you have two extra people going with you so it’s going to be more important for you to be careful.” Camryn’s mom said to her, kissing her cheek.
“Don’t worry mom, everything will be fine. I call you when I get to the beach house.” Camryn said to her mom walking out the front door. Her parents had bought a beach house there a few years back, so whenever Camryn decides to go to South beach she just stays at the beach house instead of renting a hotel room for two nights.
Camryn got into her ’98 Pontiac Firebird, buckled up and backed out of the driveway. She was first going to Gabi’s house then to Brent’s house since she didn’t really know where Brent lived.
When Camryn pulled into Gabi’s driveway she didn’t have to wait long because Gabi came right out with her bag in hand.
I waited as she put her bag in the trunk and got into the passengers seat and buckled up.
“So are you ready to go?” I asked her putting the car into reverse.
“Yeah! I’m so ready for this weekend.” She said excited.
I nodded and started backing out of the driveway. Her driveway wasn’t that long so it wasn’t really that hard to back out of and plus I’ve been doing it for months so I was real used to it by now.
“So which was do I have to go to get to Brent’s house?” Camryn asked as she drove down the street.
“Go out to the main road then go about two miles down and there will be a road called Oriental ave. His house is the third one on the left.” Gabi explained to Camryn, she had pulled out her cd by now and was deciding on which one to play.
Camryn followed the directions well and within five minutes they were at Brent’s house. Camryn and Gabi had to go in so his parents could meet Camryn and know some more about the beach house they were staying at.
“So how long will it take you to get down there?” Brent’s mom asked.
“Probably an hour depending on the traffic. We will call when we get to the beach house.” Camryn told her.
“Okay well please be careful.” Brent’s mom said to them, hugging Brent.
Camryn nodded and lead the way out of the house and over to her car.
“You can just put your stuff in the trunk. I hope you don’t mind sitting in the back by yourself.” Camryn asked Brent while he threw his bag in the trunk and shut the back.
“Not at all I can relax and have the whole backseat to myself.” He said smirking.
Camryn shook her head and got into the drivers seat, buckled up and started the car. She waited until everyone was buckled and settled it.

The ride there didn’t seem that long, but then of course Camryn had two people with her and they had the music going and took quizzes and just having a ball. It was fun.
When they got to the beach house Camryn pulled into the driveway and popped the trunk.
“Well were here, grab your stuff and follow me.” Camryn said getting out of the car and walking to the back of the car grabbing her bag.
She led the way up the stairs to the door. It was still as pretty as always. Camryn opened the door and walked in. She glanced over at Brent and Gabi and saw them staring in amazement.
“Well make your selves at home, my bedroom is upstairs, third door on the left.” Camryn said.
“Well wait a minute where are you going?” Gabi asked, setting her bag down on the floor.
“I’m going to go downtown, I have some business to take care of, and I won’t be long. The beach is right behind the house, it’s not a private beach so there will be others there but at least you won’t be the only one out there. We have surf boards in the basement; the green and blue one is mine, but the others you can use.” Camryn explained to them trying to get out quickly.
“Okay then, see you in a bit.” Brent said smiling at Camryn then looking at Gabi.
Camryn nodded and walked back out the door. She was free now it would be like she came here her self, no Gabi and Brent making out everywhere, and she wasn’t a third wheel. She knew however, that she wouldn’t run into a star, it’s been too much of a dream for it to come true, who was she kidding anyways, even IF she did run into on of the stars it’s not like they will go for her, she’s probably not their type anyways.
Camryn parked her car across from the local coffee shop, locked it up and walked in.
It wasn’t that big but then again it wasn’t that small either. It smelled of coffee and freshly baked goods. She loved it. People were sitting and chatting; toward the side was a small stage, probably for night when they have bands there. Camryn walked toward the counter and ordered a large coffee.
A few minutes later the lady had returned with her coffee and Camryn paid for it. She put sugar and milk in it then found a seat in the corner near the window. Camryn pulled out her book and started reading as she drank her coffee.

Meanwhile, Nathan Rody, one of the hit stars on the television’s #1 drama series walked down the street with co-stars.
“So Nate, where’s this lucky lady?” Ben Davin asked walking hand in hand with wife Neleigh.
“What lucky lady? Mate, I told you I don’t have a girl, I’m looking for one.” He said to Ben as they walked down the street. People in the town were used to them being there and walking around. Occasionally they would get asked for an autograph.
Ben laughed, “Okay well how about you look for one today? I mean I met my girl here, so I’m sure you can meet yours too, just look for what you like.” Ben told him.
“I like small-town, good girls, that don’t party too much. Like I’m going to find one of those around here.” Nathan said to him.
“What about in there Nathan? I mean there are probably single girls in there that are just what you’re looking for, quiet girls.” Neleigh said pointing to the coffee shop.
“Yeah man, you can probably find a girl in there.” Ben added.
Nathan looked through the window. “Okay, real quick, but I can’t promise I’ll find one.” Nathan said walking in with Ben and Neleigh right behind him.
Nathan glanced around the café no girls looked like they would be good enough for him.
“Well none here, lets get going.” Nathan said turning to leave.
“Oh no, your not getting out of this THAT fast Mister! We came in here to find a girl to DATE you not to marry you.” Neleigh said looking around the café taking her time.
“She’s touch man, deal with it.” Ben said laughing.
Nathan looked at him and nodded.
“How about her?” Ben questioned pointing to a girl sitting at the counter chatting it up with a waitress.
“No, oh no, not the same type, no, her.” Neleigh said pointing to a browned haired girl sitting at a table by her self reading a book. “She’s quiet, reads a lot so she must be pretty smart, and she looks like a small town girl just waiting for a good guy to come along a sweep her off her feet.” Neleigh explained.
Nathan looked at the girl, she was pretty and she did look like she would be the girl he’s been looking for, but what if she wasn’t? Should he still ask her out on a date?
“Nathan get over there and put on your charm that you tried to pull off on me when I first came to the set.” Neleigh said smiling at him.
Nathan nodded and walked over to the girl.
“Hi…Um…Is anyone sitting here?” He asked pointing to the chair across from Camryn.
Camryn looked up and smiled. It was true; Nathan Rody was finally standing right in front of her and asking for a seat at her table. Camryn shook her head no, and then glanced back down at her book.
Nathan sat down in front of her.
“So come here often?” He asked trying to make conversation.
Camryn smiled to herself then decided to act human like.
“Well every weekend that I come to South Beach. My parents own a beach house down here. I’m from Oak Springs. What about you? Do you come to this café often with your busy schedule?” Camryn asked him back.
Nathan laughed. “Well I guess you watch the show then. And the answer is no, actually my friends made me come in here, they think I need a date.” He looked down at the table then back up at Camryn.
“Oh. Yeah my friend and her boyfriend are at the beach house, I always feel like a third wheel around them so I hate hanging out with the both of them” Camryn told him.
“Yeah and then they start making out like your not even there.” Nathan said getting more into the conversation.
“Yeah! And then they want to go to the movies or to a dance where only couples hang out and you feel weird because your there all alone.” Camryn said closing her book.
Nathan laughed. “Wow were desperate.” He said smiling.
Camryn smiled also. “Yeah I guess we kind of are.”
“So how about we fix that? Tonight say 6:30pm? Meet back here and we can go to the movies then a walk on the beach.” He said hoping she wouldn’t say no.
Camryn looked at him and could tell he was serious. “Yeah. 6:30 see you then.”
“Good see you then.” Nathan stood up and walked away from the table and out the door.
Neleigh and Ben followed quickly.
“So what’s the deal Rody?” Neleigh asked.
Nathan looked at them and smiled. “Date, tonight, 6:30 here, movies and walk on the beach. Just us two though, you two can go some where else.” Nathan told them smiling huge.
“Alright Rody but you need a serious make over I mean like we need to start NOW! Let’s go lover boy.” Neleigh grabbed Nathan arm with one hand and Ben’s with the other.

Camryn walked into the beach house smiling from ear to ear.
“Well some one is happy.” Gabi said walking into the living room and sitting next to Brent.
“Yes, I am because I have a date, and just any date, a date with Nathan Rody.” Camryn told them more excited then anything.
Gabi looked at her. “Are you serious? A real date with the REAL Nathan Rody?”
“Yup, and were meeting at the café at 6:30, going to dinner then walking on the beach.”
“Well what are you going to wear??” Gabi asked jumping up off the couch.
“I have no idea. Maybe we should go shopping.” Camryn said.
“Good idea. Brent are you coming?” Gabi asked grabbing her purse.
“No I think I’ll stay here.” He answered her.
Gabi looked at him.
“Or I’ll go.” He said following them out the door.
Chapter Three
Gabi drove Camryn to the café. So then Camryn could have Nathan drop her off at the house so she won’t worry about her car.
Camryn was wearing a knee length skirt that was black, and a shirt that was pink with a number 23 on it and a clip held her hair back. She entered the café and looked around, no sigh of him yet. But then again she was just a little early so she took a seat in the corner by the window.
Nathan stood out side the café and looked at the door, he was ready. He was dressed in black dress pants and blue shirt. His hair was smoothed down after about an hour of Neleigh trying to figure out what to do with it. He entered the café and looked right toward the corner by the window where Camryn sat the last time. He smiled lightly and walked over to her.
“You know I feel completely stupid.” He said to her, sitting across from her. “I didn’t even ask you your name so all day I felt bad.”
Camryn laughed. “No it’s fine. My name is Camryn Mitchell. My friends call me Cami though.” She told him.
“Well Cami, nice to meet you. I’m Nathan Rody; most call me Nate, if you didn’t know that already.” He said to her. “Should we be on our way then? “ He asked standing and holding out his hand.
Camryn smiled and took his hand standing next to him.

“So what movie would you like to watch?” He asked as they walked down the street.
“Um, I don’t know I have no clue what’s playing.” She answered him.
“Well we could go watch Live or die? It looks pretty good.” He told her as they came up to the theater.
“Works for me.” Camryn said back to him.

After the movie they came out holding hands and laughing.
“I can’t believe that everyone died.” Camryn said as they headed down the street.
“I know. I didn’t know directors would direct something like that I mean come on!” He said laughing. “So where do you live? I was thinking that since your parents own a beach house we could walk on the beach that is closest to your house so you don’t have to go far to get home. I mean I am going to walk you up to the door and all but you know.” He said opening the passenger door to his GTO.
Camryn laughed and nodded, then got into the car.
Nathan shut the door and walked around to the driver side and got in.
“I know what you meant. The house is on sunset ave. Third house down on your left.” Camryn explained to him.
“So what do you like to do?” Nathan asked Camryn during the drive to the beach house.
“Well, read; write stories and poems, dance, act. I love to act--“but before she could finish he cut her off.
“You like acting? Are you serious?” He asked kind of stunned.
“Yeah, I’ve been in every play since I got into high school. Plus every year I take dance I’m in dance concerts which help me on the stage.” Camryn explained to him.
“So I’m guessing it would be acting you want to get into when you finish high school or college?” Nathan asked pulling down her road.
“Well that and writing. I love writing and it would be awesome to write and star in my own movie or television show.” Camryn told him pointing to a house, “That’s it right there.”
Nathan pulled in the drive way and parked behind Camryn’s car.
“Is that yours?” He asked shutting the car off.
“Yeah my parents and my uncle teamed up and bought it for me, then my other uncle and his three sons fixed it up and made it more my style.” Camryn said to him unbuckling her seat belt.
“That’s awesome.” Nathan said. He quickly got out of the car shut his door and ran over to Camryn’s side opening the door for her. Nathan held his hand out.
Camryn took his hand and got out of the car.
“Thanks but you didn’t have to do that.” She said to him after he shut the door behind her.
“No, but I wanted to.”
Camryn lead the way behind the house to the beach.
“It’s not private but mom and dad never liked private beaches because they wanted us to find friends while on the beach.” Camryn told him as she took her shoes off.
“That’s fine, than everyone can see who I’m falling for.” Nathan told her taking his shoes and socks off.
Camryn looked at him shocked. She couldn’t believe what she just heard. Nathan Rody falling for ME of all people.
“What?” She asked him not walking any further.
“I know it’s just our first date and we’ve only know each other less then 12 hours but your everything I ever wanted I mean in every way possible.” He said to her taking her hand.
Camryn smiled lightly, she wanted to cry, but just small tears came from her eyes.
“I…I think I’m falling for you too Nathan.” She said through tears.
Nathan smiled. He looked at her beautiful face and her smile. He closed his eyes and felt her lips against his sooner then he thought.
After a few minutes the finally broke apart staring at each other with more pure love and passion then anyone they know.
Camryn didn’t want to look away from those eyes, they were perfect to her.
“Well Mr. Rody, I should get inside, Gabi is probably sitting by the door waiting for me to come back so she knows how the night went.” Camryn laughed.
Nathan laughed also. “Well I’ll walk you up those stairs to your door.” He said holding out his arm.
Camryn slipped her arm through his and walked up the stairs with him.
“I had a great night, Nathan.” She told him.
“I had a great night too. This brings me to a question? Will you go out with Ben, Neleigh and I tomorrow night? There is a this really cool club and I thought we could all hang out.” He said to her holding her hand.
“Under one condition,” She started. “I can bring Gabi and Brent, I’ve been kind of un fair to them this weekend, with ditching them to go to the café then leaving them without anything to do tonight.”
“No problem, a triple date. I’ll stop by sometime tomorrow to give you directions.” He explained.
“Well can’t you just call and give them to me?” Camryn asked.
“Yeah, but I would rather see you tomorrow and it gives me an excuse to come see you before going to the club.”
Camryn smiled and kissed him again. Then walked into the door.
Gabi sat on the couch watching a movie with Brent when Camryn entered the room.
“Oh! She’s back!” Brent said in a girlie voice.
Gabi laughed and walked over to Camryn. “So how was it?”
“Good, real good, the movie was good, the car ride was good which was mostly because he has a GTO and the walk on the beach was good, even though we didn’t go farther then the gate. We kissed and he told me his falling for me, than invited me to go on a triple date with you, Brent and his friend and his friends’ wife.” Camryn explained to her.
Gabi smiled. “This is so exciting.”
“Yeah it kind of is. But I’m so tired right now so I’m going to bed. We can get up early, surf; I’ll make breakfast, than we can head down to the café, and then go around shopping for a while.” Camryn said to them smiling big.
“Dude, works for me.” Brent said.
“Me too, what time in the morning?” Gabi asked.
“Um about 7am, when it’s just becoming light and there are no sharks or anything out, there will probably be other surfers out there.” Camryn told them.
“Okay see you then.” Gabi said nodding.
Camryn walked up the stairs and down the hall to her bed room. It was kind of plan she had drawing that she drew hanging on the walls in frames. Near the window was a small light blue desk with dolphins, whales and bubbles on it and a chair that matched. In the corner was a circular bed that had green a white bed covers with a bunch of pillows. On the other wall was a medium size walk in closet that had a bass guitar and a drum set inside with some clothes Camryn kept there during the summer season. She tossed her purse onto the bed and walked over to the closet. There were some shelves on the side that she kept her pajamas, belts, hats and sunglasses on. She pulled out her frog pj’s slipped them on then climbed into bed. All Camryn could think about was Nathan, and how he was falling for her. How can one of the biggest stars on the show be falling for someone like me? Camryn asked her self before she fell asleep.

The next morning Camryn woke by the sound of her cell phone going off.
Who is calling me at this hour? She thought to herself as she got out of bed and walked over to the desk.
“Hello?” She said into the phone.
“Cami! Hey how are things going over there?” her mother said on the other line.
“Oh, hey mom, things are going good, were actually going to go surfing at 7 then I’m going to make breakfast then were going to go shopping in town for a bit.” Camryn told her mom leaving out the part about Nathan. She didn’t’ want to tell her mom she meet him because then she might make her come home early and Camryn really wanted to see him again before she had to leave.
“Well that’s good; listen could you bring home my blue dinning outfit? I want to wear it to dinner next Sat. night.” Her mother said into the phone.
“Sure, but what’s next Saturday night?” Camryn asked walking into the closet to try and pick out a good outfit for the day.
“Your father and I have a banquet to go to for the restaurant.” Her mother told her.
“Oh right, that thing…do I have to go? I was hoping to come down here next weekend.” Camryn asked pulling out her blue and white jersey with blue jean shorts.
“No of course not, it probably wouldn’t be much fun for you anyways.” Her mother answered her.
“Great thanks mom, listen I have to get going, we want to get out there and get some good waves before the beach gets too crowded.” Camryn told her as she pulled out her black bikini and black and blue wet suit.
“Alright, talk to you later, try and remember to call me tomorrow before you guys leave, okay?” she said to her daughter.
“No problem mom. Talk to you later.” Camryn said hanging up she quickly put on her swim suit then her wet suit over top and let it hang from the waist down. Camryn walked down the hall to one of the guest rooms, Gabi was sound asleep. Camryn laughed to her self and walked over and woke her up.
“What…?” Gabi said in a sleepy voice.
“Time to get up and catch some surf. If you wake up Brent we can go find some wet suits for you two.” Camryn told her.
Gabi got up, “Okay, meet you downstairs I guess?” Gabi asked going over to her bag and pulling out her pink and black bikini.
“Yeah, put that one before you come down stairs tell Brent to get his swim suit on too. “ Camryn told her leaving the room and heading down the stairs. It was so quiet in the house when there wasn’t her whole family there. Usually they have her grandparents, uncles and cousins over. She walked to the back door and looked outside. The waves looked like they were great conditions to surf in; there wasn’t many surfers out there either which made things a little better.
“So how’s the water?” Brent asked walking downstairs in his black and red swim trunks.
“Well from the back door it looks pretty good.” Camryn said turning around to face him and Gabi.
“Good lets get those wet suits and get going then!” He said grabbing his towel off the chair.
Camryn laughed and nodded, leading them out the back glass sliding door and down the steps to the basement door.
“Okay…”Camryn started going through the closet of wet suits.
“Where did you get all those?” Brent asked watching her go through them.
“Well we have a big family, so we all pitch in a buy a bunch of them in different sizes.” Camryn explained to him getting a black and pink suit out. “Here Gabi this should fit your tiny body.” Camryn said laughing and handing it to her.
“What do you have, all different colors?” Brent asked watching her go through some more.
“Well yes actually, see my uncle’s best friend owns a surf shop down the road, he knows our family well, and he orders extra wet suits and surf boards for us and only charges us half price for them. In return when we come here in the summer I work at the shop every other day or so. And dad takes him to all his big company meets and stuff so then the surf shop gets more and more customers every summer.” Camryn explained.
“Okay I knew you guys had money but whoa, I didn’t know you had that much money.” Brent said to her.
Camryn laughed. “Well thanks I think. Although we don’t like to show off our money, that’s why you never really knew because we don’t want people to treat us weird because we have a few extra bucks.” She pulled out a red and black one and handed it to Brent. “Here you go.” She said shutting the closet doors. “Now time to find a board.”
She led them toward the back of the basement where they had about 20 boards.
“Alright! Board heaven!” Gabi exclaimed smiling at all the boards.
“Camryn nodded and walked over to her board. It was all white at the nose of it and the rest a light blue. There was a drawing on it of a cartoon girl surfing in different colors. On the back in light green was her name Cami writing in a cool font.
“Nice board.” Brent said watching Camryn take it off the rack.
“Thanks, my uncle had his friend at the surf shop do it.” She told them.
“So you can pick out any board on that rack and that rack.” Camryn told them pointing to two racks next to each other.
She watched as they walked over and looked at each board.
Brent had picked out his faster then Gabi. His was all white with a skater drawn on it.
“That used to be my brothers board before he moved to Maine with his girlfriend.” Camryn told him.
“And he didn’t want to take it with him?” Brent asked shocked because he liked the board so much.
“Yeah well…it’s my brother; he's a business man now, well kind of.” Camryn explained to him.
“Okay I got one.” Gabi said walking over to them with a long board in her arms. It was all white with blue bubbles all over it and a few dolphins drawn on it.
“That was my old one, before I drew myself a new picture and got this one done up.” Camryn told her.
“Well now that we all got our boards lets hit the waves!” Brent said in an excited voice.
Camryn and Gabi followed Brent outside and down the beach toward the water.

Camryn set her board down on the sand and pulled her wet suit up so it covered her whole body. She picked her board back up and proceeded into the water. Brent was the first in then Gabi and Camryn took up the rear. The water wasn’t that cold but it was pretty cold. She paddled out to where Brent was; he had already gotten up and sat on his board with one leg on each side.
“Well the water is sure calm out here.” He said smiling.
“Yeah it is and here comes a nice set and I’m taking it.” Camryn said turning her board around and paddling fast to be in front of the wave. Yes got it! She said to herself jumping up and standing on her board. It was a perfect ride in with a few small tricks here and there. She rode it right into shore.
“I didn’t know you could surf, let alone surf like that!” Nathan said standing at the water line, clapping.
Camryn laughed and walked over to him with her board. “Thanks. My dad and brother taught me when I was little.” Camryn explained to him.
“Well Miss. Mitchell there is still a lot I need to learn about you.” He said smiling.
“Yes there is and I’m sure there is a lot for me to learn about you as well.” She said in return. “You know if you like you could surf with us. We have a bunch of boards and wet suits for you to wear, and I’m sure my brother has a few swim trunks upstairs that he leaves here.” Camryn said to him.
“Ah…I would love to, will you teach me? I’m not very good.” He said in a shy voice.
“Sure, let’s go get you some gear.” She said to him, waving at Gabi and Brent so they know she’ll be back.
“So how was your morning?” He asked as they walked up to the house.
“Good, my mom called this morning…” She started.
“Did you tell her you met me?” He asked walking up the stairs behind her.
“Not yet, I figured I would wait until I got home, because then she can’t make me come home early…and I’ll be back next weekend because her and my father are going to a banquet for the restaurant.” She explained to him, opening the back door.
“Well all is fair. I respect that you didn’t tell her.” He said.
Camryn and Nathan walked into a bed room next to hers. She walked over to the dresser and pulled out green and white Hawaiian swim trunks.

After Nathan changed into them they went to the basement and picked out a wet suit and board for him to use.
“So ready to go?” Camryn asked standing at the water line with her board and Nathan.
“Yup. Let’s go.” He said to her.
They proceeded into the water for a fun morning of surfing.

Camryn walked down the street with Brent and Gabi. There was a light breeze.
“This place is so cool!” Gabi said looking around.
“Yeah I guess you could say that.” Camryn said laughing. “Hey if you want we can go by the surf shop, if I promise to work next weekend when I come down my uncle’s friend may give you the discount on surf boards and I can talk him into putting a design on it and then next weekend they should be ready.” Camryn explained to them.
“That would be awesome.” Gabi said excited.
“Yeah…I probably won’t get one though I mean my parents aren’t into the whole surfing thing so a board wouldn’t be a good idea.” Brent said.
Gabi looked at him like she didn’t know who he was, “What are you talking about? You told me they said it was cool for you to surf.” Gabi said to him in an angry tone.
“Gabi…” Brent started.
“Don’t start, Brent.” She said cutting him off.
Camryn shook her head and kept walking down the street.
The next hr Camryn, Gabi and Brent walked in and out different stores. Camryn got a few cute top. Her most favorite one was a green tank top that had Surf Girl written on it.
“Hey Cami, isn’t that Nathan?” Gabi asked.
Camryn looked at a group of three people who just walked out of a small store.
“Yeah, yeah that is.” Camryn said with a small grin on her face. She watched as Nathan noticed her waved and headed toward her with his two friend’s right behind him.
“I think he saw you or he’s seeing some blonde hot chick.” Brent said.
“Brent! Why do you always have to be so rude?” Gabi asked.
“I’m not being rude!” Brent yelled at her.
“Yes you are! Geez Brent I can’t believe you. Go away.” Gabi screamed in his face.
Brent and Gabi continued to argue.
“Hey gorgeous.” Nathan said walking over to Camryn.
Camryn smiled from hearing those words. “Hey beautiful.”
“So what’s going on with those two?” Nathan asked pointing at Gabi and Brent.
“Oh, they’ve been fighting all morning about various, stupid stuff.” Camryn explained to him.
“Well I hope we don’t fight like that.” Nathan said to her.
“Me either.” Camryn answered.
“Hey Nate, you forget about us over here?” Ben asked him waving a hand in front of his face.
“Ben! Leave him alone! He’s really into Camryn.”
Camryn smiled and blushed a bit.
“Well I better get going; Gabi and Brent might rip each others heads off.”
Camryn said.
Good luck, see you guys later tonight.” Nathan said. He quickly leaned in and kissed her cheek.
“Bye.” Camryn said to him after he kissed her and started walking away.
She turned toward Gabi and Brent.
“Guys stop fighting and let’s go!” Camryn yelled at them.
They both got silent and the three of them walked down the street toward the Surf shop.
The stood outside the surf shop. There were boards set up outside.
“Guys please don’t fight in here…John hates it when people fight,
especially in his shop.” Camryn told them right before they all entered the
shop.
Camryn opened the door and entered the shop. She smiled at the site. It was so small, but felt so big. The counter was in the middle of the store. Over to the left was a bunch of wetsuits, and rash guards. To the right was girls and boy’s bathing suits.
“Cami?” A mans voice said in a questionable tone.
“Hey John!” Cami said spinning around and facing him.
“How’s the family doing?” he asked giving her a big hug.
“Great, everyone is great. How’s the shop?” She asked him, walking over to the counter with him and Gabi and Brent right behind her.
“Good, keeping busy. Hired new help.” He explained to her.
“You’re coming to work here this summer right? I could really use your help, and I need a manger while I’m gone.” He asked still hoping it would be a yes.
“Of course, soon as school ends I’ll be here the whole time.”
“Good, so you going to introduce me or do I have to do it myself?” John asked laughing.
“Oh, sorry, these are my friends Gabi and Brent. Guys this is John.” Camryn said introducing them.
“So show them around the place, while I take care of things here.” John said smiling at them all.
Camryn nodded and took them to the back of the shop. In the back they had board shorts, towels and a section for jewelry.
“Upstairs is where all the boards are.” Camryn told them.
“I’m going to just stay down here while you girls look upstairs.” Brent explained to them, hoping they wouldn’t put up a fight.
Camryn nodded and lead Gabi up the steps.
“Wow…”Gabi said in amassment as she looked around the upstairs.
Upstairs was filled with long boards, short boards, and other sizes.
“This is so great.” She said to Camryn who was just smiling.
Camryn laughed and walked over to the long boards.
“I’ve been meaning to get myself a long board.” Camryn said looking through the long boards, carefully moving them so she can see the next one.
“Excuse me miss…but you’re not allowed to touch the boards.” A young man who obviously didn’t know her.
Camryn looked at him and smirked.
“I know the owner.” She answer, continuing to look through the boards.
“Well I know the owner too and he told me customers can’t touch the boards.” The young man said. Once again trying to get her to stop touching the boards.
This time he got Camryn frustrated. She turned from the boards so she was now facing the young man who looked about her age.
“Look here buddy; I know more about this shop, the owner, and everything in it! I worked here before you probably even knew about this place! I suggest to you that you shut your mouth unless you want to loose your job!” Camryn yelled at him.
“Look lady; I don’t know who you are but you need to keep your voice down.” He said back to her.
Camryn had to admit, he had nerves.
“What on earth is going on up here?” John asked entering the room where the three of them stood.
“He told Camryn that she couldn’t touch the boards, even after she told him she knew you.” Gabi spoke up.
John looked from Gabi to the boy.
“Daniel is this true?” John asked him.
Daniel looked at him frightened.
“I…um…well…” Daniel began.
Camryn sighed and knew she couldn’t handle it if he lost his job due to her.
“You know John, your pretty lucky he sticks to your word. I mean anyone could have come up here and lied by saying they knew the owner. Things could have been really bad for your shop or even for Daniel. So go take care of things down stairs.” Camryn said to him.
John looked at Camryn, nodded then left.
Daniel looked at her as soon as he left.
“What are you bipolar or something?” He questioned her.
“No, but I just kept you from loosing your job. John would have fired you on the spot. I know I’ve seen him do it before.” Camryn told him.
Daniel notice that she did, in fact keep him from loosing his job.
“Thanks, that was really nice of you to do considering how rude I was to you.” Daniel said to her, feeling a little out of place now.
“So I didn’t properly introduce myself, I’m Camryn; this is my best friend Gabi.” Camryn said holding her hand out to shake his.
“I’m Daniel Sparks. Nice to meet both of you.” He said shaking Camryn’s hand then Gabi.
“So looking for a long board?” He asked not letting go of Gabi’s hand.
Gabi smiled and blushed.
Camryn could tell that there was an instant attraction between the both of them.
“Well Daniel we have to get going. Nice meeting you though. And see you this summer.” She told him pulling Gabi away and grabbing a long board that she choose.
“See you later. “ Daniel said as he watched them walk back down the stairs.

“Getting a long board?” John asked Camryn who had just reached the bottom of the steps with a long board tucked under her arm.
“Sort of. It’s for a friend.” She explained to him smiling.
“Ah, okay. Well it’s on the house, you know how it works.” He told her.
“Have a good day.” She said back to him leaving the store with Gabi and Brent right behind her.

“Finally, back to the beach house.” Brent said walking in the door and over to the couch.
“Brent, why can’t you do something else besides watching television. I thought you wanted to spend time with me.” Gabi said to him trying hard not to yell.
“I do, but there isn’t much to do here. “ He answered her.
“Hey buddy, you wanted to come, okay…and were leaving tomorrow so it would be just one more night of fun and partying….besides we get to go to a club tonight, so be happy about that.” Camryn said not yelling.
Brent looked at her.
“Yeah, okay. So I’m going to go upstairs and relax before going to the club so I guess you two can do whatever you want.” Camryn said to them walking up the stairs to her room.
Gabi looked at Brent, “So are you happy now? Jeez Brent your really becoming a jerk lately.” Gabi told him.
“Gabi, I came because I wanted to spend time with you!” He said to her.
“Well I don’t know about you Brent but I’m not having any fun.” She responded. Gabi then also left the room leaving Brent alone.

Camryn, Gabi and Brent stood outside the night club waiting for Nathan, Neleigh, and Ben to arrive.
Camryn looked around nervously, “Maybe they aren’t coming…maybe he decided he didn’t want to date me or something.” Camryn said while she looked.
“Cami, snap out of it, your hot, smart and perfect for him. He’ll be here, he likes you a lot.”
Camryn smiled to herself. She did have to admit she was smart for someone who spends a lot of time at the beach.
“Hey you.” A voice said to Camryn.
Camryn turned and saw Nathan standing there in all black, and he looked fine.
“Hey beautiful.” She said in return. He was beautiful.
“So is everyone ready for a full night of no stop fun. We have dancing, and dancing, and dancing and eating on the schedule tonight.” Ben said with a huge smile on his face. He loved to make everything sound stupid or funny.
Gabi laughed. “Let’s get to it then!”
All six of them headed into the club for a great night.

Chapter

“Thanks for the great night Nathan.” Camryn said to him as he walked her to her door.
“Thank you for coming tonight, it means a lot.” He said back.
“Would you like to stay the night? I mean it’s really late and all and you shouldn’t have to drive all the way home by yourself. Besides I leave tomorrow morning.” She said to him hoping he would stay.
“I would love to.” He answered following her into the house. It looked the same as it did before only a darker.
Camryn lead him into her room.
“So after you leave tomorrow when will you be back?” Nathan asked her flopping down onto her bed.
“Um well this is the last week of school so next weekend I’ll most likely be back for a while.” She explained to him walking over to the dresser and getting her pajamas.
Nathan smiled big and walked over to her. “What do you think your doing with those?” He asked pointing to the pajamas.
“I’m going to put them on for bed.” She answered him.
“No, no, your not. You don’t need them.” He said picking her up and throwing her onto the bed.
“Nate…what are you doing?” Camryn asked him.
“What I think we should be doing…having fun!” He exclaimed and began to tickle her.
Camryn smiled and laughed. “Nathan! Stop! Stop” She laughed, “Nathan!”

Camryn turned over the next morning woken by the sun.
“Good morning gorgeous.” Nathan said to her as he watched her turn toward him.
“Morning, did you sleep well?” She asked sitting up.
“Perfectly well. Best sleep I’ve had in a long time.” He told her.
Camryn nodded and looked at the clock; it read 8:20am.
“I should probably be getting ready to leave. Mom will want me home for dinner.” She said to him not very happy that she was leaving him for a week.
“I have filming that starts tomorrow.” He explained to her trying to make it seem better.
They both got up and got their selves ready. About an hour or two later Camryn and Nathan were saying their last goodbyes for the week and off they went in their separate directions.

Camryn entered her house it was about 4 or 5pm. She just arrived home from dropping off her friends.
“I’m back!” She yelled as she walked through the house.
“Hey sweetie, dinner is in 10 minutes, be ready.” Her mother said watching her daughter walk into the kitchen and then leave again.
Camryn walked to her room and looked around. There were posters everywhere. It was almost scary how she hated seeing all these pictures of stars she liked now that she was with Nathan.
Camryn entered the kitchen about 10 minutes later sat down at the table and waited a minute or two until everyone was seated.
“So Cami…How was the beach house?” Her father asked dishes out his portion of his meal.
“It was good. Gabi and Brent had a great time. “ She answered. Camryn turned to her mom, “Oh, mom before I forget…I placed your outfit in your room for you.” Camryn said to her.
“Thanks Camryn for bringing it home for me.”
“I guess before I do anything else I should tell you guys that I met a guy there. He’s not bad or anything, he’s really sweet, and nice, and kind. AND, he’s one of the stars from the hit television show Durham Bay.” Camryn explained to her parents.
Her mother looked at her like she didn’t believe any of this.
“So what did you really do while you were at the beach house?” Her father asked.
Camryn smiled, “I’m telling the truth. His name is Nathan Rody. He met me at the café in town and we went out twice, once by ourselves the second time it was like a triple date. He’s the best, and I really like him.”
Finally her mother saw that she really was telling the truth. “So what’s so special about this guy? He’s on television?” Her mother asked.
“No, I didn’t even care about him being on television. He’s just really sweet and nice and likes me for me and not for being some fan or some popular girl in school. I really like him and he really likes me.” Camryn told her parents.
By the end of the meal Camryn had told her parents about her weekend with Nathan and how they planned to meet again next weekend when Camryn went back to the beach house.
“Oh and John asked me to manage the shop for a few weeks while he goes away on business…I said I would since I practically live there anyways.” Camryn told her father who was like best friends with John.
“Does he have some new help in there?” her father asked, gathering some of the plates from the dinner table.
“Yeah some new boy named Daniel…He’s okay I guess… I mean I could swear he was hitting on Gabi, but I don’t know.” Camryn said to her father, helping him clear the table.
“Well I’m glad you found someone that you really like” Camryn’s mother said to her after the table was cleared.
“I’m glad too, and you’ll both love him when you meet him. He’s so sweet and so nice.” Camryn said to her parents.
Camryn left the kitchen and walked back upstairs to her bedroom. When she entered her room she stared at all the posters on the wall. Most of them were of Nathan or other characters from Durham Bay. She couldn’t take it anymore, having those pictures all over her walls of him, she loved him but she couldn’t look at his picture everyday because she missed him so much, so she put on her favorite cd and start to carefully take down each poster.
Within the next hour Camryn had taken down every poster and put up fashion pictures and hair style pictures on her walls.
“That feels so much better.” Camryn said to herself, smiling.

Meanwhile, Gabi had gotten home over two hours ago and was unpacking her things.
“Gab, you have a phone call, it’s Brent.” Her mother said handing the phone to her.
“Hello?” Gabi said in an annoyed tone. She had been so mad at Brent the whole weekend because all he did was act like a jerk to everyone around him.
“Hey my sexy sweetie, how are things?” He asked her.
“Just great Brent; and you know what’s even better? You just made my decision easier. I don’t want to do this one the phone, but it’s the only way to do it. I think we should break up.” She said to him, finally feeling free.
“What are you talking about?” He asked her in an angry tone.
“Brent, you’re a jerk and I didn’t realize that until this weekend, I can’t be with you, you don’t even care about me or my feelings.” She explained to him.
“Gabi…come on we can work this out.” He said to her.
“No, no Brent we can’t. I’m sorry.” With those as her final words she hung up the phone and kept unpacking her things.

“Gabi, you have another phone call!” Her mother yelled to her.
“If its Brent, tell him I said NO.” Gabi yelled back at her mother throwing her duffle bag into her closet.
“It’s Camryn!” Her mother shouted back at her, but not in an angry tone.
Gabi picked up the phone, “Hello?” She said in to the receiver.
“Hey girl, finish unpacking yet?” Camryn asked laughing. She herself was unpacking from the weekend which felt like was only one day.
“Yeah, just got everything out of the bag, how about you?” She asked her best friend, as she threw all the clothes into the laundry basket.
“Just put all the clothes in the washer. So, I told my parents about Nathan…” Camryn started.
“Oh, did you? How did they take it?” Gabi asked her best friend as she sat onto her own bed and looked around her own room.
“Very well, actually. They didn’t seem mad or upset or anything, so I’m guessing everything is a go for Nathan and me, which is great.
“I broke up with Brent about five minutes ago.” Gabi said to Camryn.
“What? Are you okay? Do you want me to come over?” Camryn asked her.
“No, I don’t feel that bad about it. I feel free now, I mean I thought I loved him, but I don’t, I really don’t and he’s such a jerk, I finally got to see the real side of him and I don’t like what I saw.” Gabi told Camryn.
“I’m sorry Gabi, but hey now you can get to know Daniel a little better.” Camryn said to her trying to cheer her up.
Gabi smiled to herself and laughed at bit, “Yeah, He was pretty cute, huh?” she asked laughing a bit.
“Yeah, he’s perfect for you. Anyways, after exams we’ll go back to the beach house and then you can get to know Daniel better and I can spend more time with Nathan.” Camryn told her best friend over the phone.
“Yeah great idea only, do you really think my parents are going to let me stay there with you?” Gabi asked.
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. Tell them that you got a summer job working at the surf shop and that I'll be working there as well. My parents will be coming down through out the summer to check on things and stuff. If that doesn't work then, I'll get my parents to talk to your parents." Camryn explained her idea to Gabi.
"Okay, I'll try it, but I'm not too sure it will work, you know my parents, they are kind of strick." Gabi said to her.
"Think positive girl! Anyways, I better go, I told Nathan I'd call him after I ate dinner. I had to take down all my posters in my room, It didn't feel right dating him and having a TON of his pictures all over my wall." Camryn laughed.
Gabi laughed. "Alright, I'll go talk to my parents right now. See you tomorrow." Gabi hung up the phone, took a deep breath then started downstairs.

One thing I noticed right away is the format. Could you break the paragraphs up more?
