Default Jams!

Jamming with some peeps in Bristol. Not sure given the state of the site whether these links will work but you never know. Met these two last night. Guy plays a range of instruments, beatbox's, samples and loops to make a beat and then the singer and I improvised.. good fun.

OK -- I'm digging these.

On the first one -- the flute and singing sound really good. Is the singing sampled? The beats sound a little off and could use some variation -- they sort of sound like someone beatboxing. The rapping is also a bit lacking in variation on your intonation. Overall, it's a bit long. Maybe employ some less is more on this -- I started to lose interest.

Second one -- love the accordion. Singing sounds great. Same deal with the first one -- too long, in my opinion, without enough variation.

Good job. Cheers.

Thanks man.

In defence of the long thing, this was literally three people who met about half hour before this was recorded, in a freight container on a trading estate, smoking weed and making noise. We weren't really trying to make songs, and it's just recorded with a mic in the middle of the room there's no mix or anything.

The Sun goes Down one went on for 20 mins but I cut it down -- and it was beat boxing, no programmed beat or drums.

We'll do some street performances for fun which can just run on... but will snip it down for actual gigs.

Oh, okay. But for all I knew, you might have thought every second was golden. Just thought I'd mention it...

That's good beatboxing -- they actually have a VST that simulates beatboxing -- kind of defeats the purpose. I was on a music forum and someone asked if there was a good VST for tambourine. OR, you could just get a tambourine -- and try to master it...

Never really thought about using google drive to post music -- thought I'd give it a shot:

Here are a couple of my tunes, if you're interested.
