Default Greetings and Salutations

Hello! My name is Caitlin, I'm 24 years old, and I have a passion for writing. I've never had any classes or professional instruction, I've always just written for myself. I treat it as a coping mechanism, it helps me through times others can't. Of course I like to write for pleasure as well. Anyways, I hope to contribute to this board to the best of my abilities

Hi Caitlin,

Welcome to the WB.

Please take the time to read our FAQs and get a feel of how we like to do thing around here.

We always love it when people join and express a wish to contribute, so put your feet up and read what others have posted before you. Offer them your honest, constructive critique. The how of that is to be found in the FAQs too.
That way, when you're ready to show us your own work, the favour might well be returned.

Have fun while you're with us and for those time that inspirations lacks, our Cafe is never closed and my coffee is always fresh.

Hey Caitlin,

Your name is making me hungry - cheezeyfries, not Caitlin

Welcome to WB. What genre does your writing stretch to? Or do you enjoy it all?

Hey Caitlin,

Figured I'd say hello, us newbies have to stick together after all.
Welcome to Writersbeat, may it serve us as well as we serve it, eh?

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Like I said, I've only ever written for my own enjoyment and frankly the idea of putting my work out there is a wee bit intimidating. Never fear, I wouldn't be here if I had no intentions of contributing As far as genre, I would have to say I dabble in a bit of everything, it all depends on what my mood is at the time I suppose. Recently I've delved back into poetry so maybe that is what you'll see from me first

Hi Caitlin, welcome to the forum.

Don't worry about posting your own work yet. Once you've given some feedback on others' you might feel more confident, but it's not a prerequisite for membership here.

If you do though, the poetry section is always busy and I'm sure you'll fit right in over there.
