anna sat curled up in that shared solitude as flea busied himself. She had been getting up to tricks on different threads and sought solace. He waited patiently as she bit her lip. ‘It’s about partnership, middle ground, muddling through. It’s all about attaining balance.’ I mean what was the point of forfeiting her career only to flick through the pages of that book time and time again to be hit by that man’s private message laced menacingly within his tour de force forever then - if she couldn’t somehow set the record straight in her own heart. And where is woman’s voice in the gun debate, I don’t think the female psyche is about power or world domination, or win, I think it’s about working in unison, collaboration, interconnection, this shared life. anna giggled softly, kissed the top of his head as he puzzled on and sprinted back into her world. ‘Thank you for the hearing of me flea’ she called skipping over puddles in the lamplight as the birds braved another dawn chorus and the leaves glistened.

So sorry then, were anna’s thoughts a tad edgy for this mellow site, was her lack of visible thanks an indication that she somehow didn’t mull over their words and appreciate their worth, those characters then, the hippos, the graces, blue, loser, brave newbies ‘hiya!’, the boys at the bar, lucky jim next to him. Simply that little blue ‘thanks’ button wouldn’t work however much she willed it, which was a blessing really because she liked the babble of it all. Humanity. And her life was edgy, perched on an edge, edge of oblivion no fiction required. A hair’s breadth away from losing it all, no really, can you imagine having nothing but this moment then, to treasure the now. But the true heartbreak was in finding herself in the depth of mirror-still unchartered waters, reaching a point of wondering if somehow that innate strength to survive, to leap back up, fight on yet again through adversity had silently forsaken her. Anna traced her fingers lightly across fleas shoulder blades, thanked her virtual friend for his company with a brush of his cheek and a gentle smile through the ether as he busied on in his day then, and as suddenly as anna had entered the moment she was gone.

repost from elsewhere, chatting with anna elsewhere

between the pressure of work and the inability to see the situation clearly the goblin had put off posting for holding back awhile, saying "...I can see what the saudi coup is, just I can't see how it plays out from here, that what with isreal and saudi intent upon a campaign in lebanon, who doubts that america will be dragged into their scheme then, yet I doubt that the campaign itself can fair any better than syria has, nor iraq for that matter, so will this be just a bombing campaign, or something more like with boots on the ground...", the goblin thanked anna for listening as ever, knowing that the next few days will seem like "slow then sudden" in their occurrence, relating "...so "the king is dead long live the king", with the plots entering a new stage of an assertive saudi under a lone king replacing that old consensus type saudi under many princes, simply a consolidation of power at the top, just a mcbeth in our times as it were, yet even with this coup the goal in part has to be to get the price of a barrel of oil back over a 100dollars, where anything less would condemn saudi to continue in its unsustainable deficit, so they need something that both constrains the flow of oil through the muddle-east while having the added benefit perhaps of putting iran back in its cage so to speak, thus "slow then sudden" it becomes doesn't it...", how slow seemed the wait beforehand and then how sudden its arrival felt, meanwhile the goblin just preoccupied himself with dailylife once more

Now, anna knew in her bones that flea treasured his own head space deeply and this sort of idea wouldn’t be a natural part of his modus operandi for sure, but ‘needs must!’ she whispered resolutely whilst continuing to beaver away regardless. Flea watched in silent fascination from his pillow by the light of the softest of moons as anna crept back and forth across the rug through his dreams unawares, she purposely crafted a delicate Bedouin tent like refuge in the corner of his imagination using all sorts of silk remnants she had gathered from long gone window panes. The pinks the limes the golds and turquoise layers shimmered in the chilly night air, there was an innocence in the construction of that tenty thing which she bound tenderly together with an assortment of pompoms, buntings and slinky fringe. ‘Night night flea’ she giggled - ‘can’t be made homeless from the cocoon of my own heart.’

(and so the thread had built up to 400000 since april of 2011, the goblin loved anna's latest and simply thanked everyone who had posted here, and also those who had just read through the posts then, saying "...if it's not easy in execution it's simple as an idea, livewriting is merely the practice of producing something of oneself as a constant trickle of posts, where no one or nothing is ever asking one to livewrite now, no there are no rules per se, nor is there any fame nor fortune to be had by it neither, but it points to one's nature all the same, and thus I'll just repost this old post I did back in 2011 to restate my commitment to myself mostly, the point being that there is no point, yet when there is no point then whatever you post is really you isn't it...")

repost from elsewhere, the "how do you see yourself in thirty years time" thread

well, if the goblin was still alive in thirty years time, he had some idea of how he would look, yet he had no idea of what amazing things he could write, nor come across while writing them, as long as he just kept on facing the slot like this, explaining "...you see perhaps one's outer world slowly crumbles away while one's inner world forms but it seems that one has to first create one's inner world now lest one ends up with little of neither..."

repost from elsewhere

"...if the government increasingly buys the stocks of major corporations as they have been doing recently, then aren't those entities simply nationalized by the back door so to speak...." remarked the goblin noting the sharp demise of actual traded stocks on the market of late and suspecting too that at this rate the stock pool itself would dry up eventually, then adding "...yet once the majority of stocks are owned by the government then would this count as fascism or socialism, after all both hilter and stalin would have approved of it in their day...", meanwhile nothing had changed much had it, academia was still bribed by student loans, media was monopolized into those few remaining companies it had become, and the church was still silenced by 501c3 exemption status, thus the goblin for his part understood this clearly yet defied his circumstance though, smiling "...all I have is a pen here, this online now, and some choices as to what to relate I guess, but that's enough really, for while here there is no elsewhere...", and with that the goblin renewed his efforts, he didn't know whose side he was on really, nor what sides there were, only that he knew that if he stopped he'd be dead before his time, asking "...tell me, are you dead while reading this text, or would you care to write against the silence of it all..."

repost from elsewhere, goblin doing another welcome

The goblin is a very interesting critter. Seems he's got some wisdom from sitting under the bridge - oh, that was the troll and the billy goats gruff. Anyway thanks for your thoughts, both fleamailman and brianpatrick.
and then having pressed the "new posts" button as was custom in these parts the goblin appeared as if out of nowhere only to reply "...I like you, you seem to have a way with words, where it would be so nice to have you post more..", in fact, whereas trolls lived mostly under bridges goblins tended to live in the comfort of their caverns, though instead of that norm this goblin lived in the city of geneva switzerland relating "...well yes, geneva is just an open cavern of comfort if ever such a thing could really exist, where unlike other cities across europe, geneva has followed that ever so swiss trait of trying to contribute to the conflicts themselves behind the scenes while remaining out of them too, ah but perhaps we can go into that some other time as I'm sure you're more interested in the question of what you can get out of this forum here, which then begs that other question of "what you'd care to put into the forum to gain something out of it", but let's see now...", as the goblin paused, weighed up a few thoughts in his mind before restarting "...well, at the end of the day a writer is just as he or she writes directly I guess regardless of "where" "what" and "when", I mean would you follow any author who goes around with some out of date mindset of "well these are my posts indeed, but really you should be reading my books instead because they're so much better" but alas that is what one often notes of writertypes upon there writers forums, yes it's as if that elsewhereness there thwarts their very goal of gaining readership through the connection with one's readers like this, precisely because it shows that those authors haven't acknowledged their readers as already reading them in whatever they post now, thus perhaps the plot is in the post, and the post gives birth to that plot there is all I'm saying...", to which the goblin knew that there was more and hoped that xxxxxx was not adverse to his ungainly company, the coffee was good though

repost from elsewhere

the goblin always posted against himself here, or at least that part of him that was ever saying that there was nothing worth posting in life, "...so at least I win against myself by this..." said the goblin in the dark for early morning, outside, the cold announced the coming of snow again, and those difficulties that came with it, where inside too, the room was a sharp chill silence that the goblin's own inner warmth wasn't enough to change really, "...yes I will just post this post and then return to bed to rest awhile..." voiced the goblin before continuing "...besides, the future will just happen anyway, but at any rate at least I've come to know myself a bit more by having faced myself here, just an ability of matching myself to my posts, yes a thankless ability perhaps, something both useless and worthless in terms of one's dailylife and to that moneygod there, maybe even a bitter fruit by way of what one sees reflected, a reflection of self still, yet they are all the more so, precisely because they are useless and worthless to one's external there..."

repost from elsewhere,

"...no you drive, I'll just look out the window then..." replied the goblin who had had almost no time left to write in, adding "...normally I can find space in between work but not with the new schedule where I seem answerable at most moments...", yes but montreux, where the goblin was today, seemed beautiful beyond description, oh yes he could see why people wished to retire here, after all the view of snow covered mountains across the lake offered a beautiful backdrop to one's demise, the goblin just smiled at it saying "...naah, this schedule won't stop me though, I'll snatch a moment to write again promise, besides, things revert back in december, till then though I'm just chasing my own tail with dailylife pulling the strings, speaking of strings...., ...", but either way the drive with anna had the goblin relaxed, he continued "...so mugabe is under house arrest today, meaning his wife is out of power then, as the military have chosen their next leader in her place, yes it's that isn't it, or else it wouldn't be quiet so smooth in its transition...", in fact the goblin suspected too that whomever came into power in zimbabwe they still faced that bankruptcy there, adding "...ah yes, the IMF might rope them into the west's fold by lending them enough money to tide things over awhile yet standing armies do cost far more money than governments ever did, where corruption and cohesion aren't really conducive to sustainable economies anyway..." yet the goblin often wondered what these IMF loans were if not credits that have been discredited, long discretited in fact as being little more than those strings of the west's latter day recolonialization of third world countries, giving up the goblin let go his thoughts wonder off as he let the scenery rush by him in a kaleidoscope of events

"...one of your best posts yet..." went the goblin aware of how this was evolving xxxxx in her own way, the goblin too was watching events closely, saying "...the internet has taught me much but mostly it has simply taught me "how to doubt" where doubt is what separates us from those who follow the news at face value...", whereupon the goblin dipped his hand into his pocket and pulled a small coin, smiling to the words "....so call it if you would, will it be "fake news" or "state news", but at least you're offered a choice like this, where before there was only "state news" and where posting is like making a call then...", whereupon the goblin flicked the coin with the full force of his thumb as it spun wildly sparkling through the air, up then down, adding "...naah it doesn't matter which you call out really, only that in this brief moment you called it noting later whether you were right or not...", practised, in a sudden snap the coin hit back between the goblin's now covered hands, smiling "...you see, no one nor nothing is ever asking one to call it now, and if anything I suspect that they'd actually prefer if you didn't call at all, care to be mischievous though, it's one life with as many calls as you can make in the time remaining...", and with that the goblin just awaited upon those long moments that made this calling so worth it to him

"...well it all kind of boils down to two choices really, that of being an aging wendy or an ageless peter pen, where both have their pros and cons I guess but where oddly there's a certain honesty to oneself at least in remaining anonymous, but there's also an understanding that one cannot own anything by it, one is just read here and that's an end to it..." started the goblin hoping that Debbie's being on writersbeat would forward her towards her readers and get her even more known than she is already, being her choice between those two choices there, whereas the goblin himself sought only to become a known unknown at best, smiling "...ah yes, nothing like anonymous recognition now is there, but I can't write without that feeling that they're reading me in these posts now, and that just maybe that they might want to reply back too, me I just love the liveness of these posts, and what it means to have all forumland at one's feet to walk across...", whereupon the goblin then drew a circle in the air to reveal a small table and upon it only the finest filtered coffee now and a whole plateload of homemade biscuits too, before turning to Debbie with a hand gesture of help yourself then, then adding "...this is for writing that great composition "willoh and wo", btw I'll be in the writers cafe if you should care for company, the readership is good, and the readers are most welcome to read me, but to be honest with you now it's not those readers but those who reply that actually feed me my thoughts if any..."

So. Sunday then. Beautiful for its blurred boundaries and undisciplined time. Grace and Little Man were contentedly squandering the lazy hours between a late breakfast and some vague notion of lunch on the distant horizon. Neither suitably dressed nor alarmingly undressed, they orbited each other in matching ensembles of creased pyjama trousers and freshly laundered jumpers - a visual display of their mental commitment to go out and their physical reluctance to bother. The sun was no more than a pale fried egg framed in phlegmy strands of white cloud. It was countryside cold - unadulterated icy air that could sandblast bare skin and turn woollen layers to frozen cardboard. Inside, the house was cosy and pungently fragranced with the earthy smell of fried mushrooms and grilled sausage. The quadripeds had somehow lined themselves up on the hearth rug in ascending height order - reminding Little Man of an evolution chart he had come across in a book. A lit fire always signalled an immediate amnesty between the canine and feline householders - a tangle of indiscriminate limbs united in their homage to heat. So Grace pottered without serious intent. Read with no more than passing interest. Sang with ear-splitting abandon as she ferried trays of tea and biscuits from kitchen to sitting room. It seemed likely that the day was going nowhere - but then, perhaps they were just already where they wanted to be.
