Sad news to hear that WB has to resort to banning members for plagiarism.
I do believe that's the first time we've ever had to experience it.
It's unfortunate that now the admins and mods have to go through a tedious 'checking', but it's something that has to be done.
On the other hands, the articles were highly enjoyable - particularly Hoi's spiel on Reader's Digest.

Congratulations to everybody who made it through to the pages of the quarterly. There was some tuff judging to do for picking the winners for sure. Many a good story is typed on here.
Many thanks to the staff and editors for the time/effort spent retracing, checking, evaluating, communicating, sorting, printing, editing and producing. This is what makes me luv certain strangers.
This is one hell of a site, complete with a top-notch magazine.

Hey, nice one. That's the most functional magazine I've ever read.
Nice

Another great job!
I HATE the cover, but I know a lot more people will like it. People who think Garfield's cute or are queer for cats. But outside the porno, it's a really great mag that stands up really well beside a lot of "free range" online lit journals that think they're so cool and withit and post-Post.
Congratulations.

"Functional"?
The staff collectively chooses to take that as a compliment
Thanks, everybody!

It's the magazine equivalent of "She has a great personality".
On the other hand...HOW MANY dysfunctional mags are there out there?

Sad, indeed. It's a weird feeling of betrayal, even though I don't know her personally, to discover someone I encouraged and helped wasn't for real. Anyway, the staff has a little extra work to do to prevent this in future issues, but I guess it's for the best, since now we know.

Thanks, Lin. "Post-Post"? Is that a fancy term for "hung up on definitions"?

Lol! It could be an arrow in an anatomical illustration: Felis catus --> tail.
I'm not a cat person, myself, but I've heard lots of people talk about their beloved cats sitting directly on top of their work. Cats just have an incredible sense of entitlement; the rub-my-belly sprawl on the desk says it all!

Ha! You should try ferrets. They steal our toothpaste and squeeze it out all over the carpet under the bed, poop in the corners, and bite your face when you're napping. Whoever said, "Curiosity kills the cat" hadn't met a ferret.
And I was referring to all the links. I pressed on the nipples in my Playboy magazine and nothing happened.

Reading a magazine online is a new experience for me. I enjoyed all that I read, but I'm still working through my awkward phase.

We have quite a few of the back issues still, cheek out the other threads under Issues if you want to read them.
Got to know that it was an enjoyable read.
Oh and SV, if you don’t know, you’ll be better of not knowing.

Yes, horrible incident. But my new book Harry Potter and the Merchant of Venice is going well. I plan to publish soon.

I'll be first in line for that. Though I think you might have stolen from my novel, 'Harry Potter and the Lord of the Things'. Never mind, I've still got 'Silence of the Trams' to fall back on. Not to mention my stunning new play 'A Streetcar Went on Fire'.
Love the paraletic cat btw. Magazine looks good too...

There's a jewellery store called Lord of the Blings.
How can you ever top that?

I think this publication ought to be printed, and on the shelves in newsagents instead of tucked away on this website!
Also I love all of the graphic design, including the cover.

We could go out on mass and drag it to the front of every shelf it sat on!

I SO AGREE!! The quality is there and I think others would really enjoy it...the quality in the writing and in the layout is top notch really...right up there with any professional and commercial mag.
