Word, I have no idea what these privacy problems are all about.

Depends on how you define privacy, I guess. People have different comfort levels. For instance, in my family no-one used the phone after nine pm. It was rude, we were told. Evenings were private, family times, and no-one wanted to be disturbed after nine. My current housemate is different. She makes and gets phone calls at midnight. Yeesh! If I got a call that late, I'd think someone had died! And if it wasn't an emergency, I'd feel a little intruded upon, like my private time had been invaded.

In the same way, I think my weekly schedule is my own affair. What I'm reading right now is my own affair. What I'm thinking about my job is my own affair. If I want to share it with someone, I will, but I won't share it with the world. And I'd feel weird if the world casually looked over my shoulder and said "So you're job-hunting, huh?" or "Wow, you looked really hot in those pictures".

Some people are okay with more public lives, and others aren't.

Oh definitely. I totally get that. My family was the same way about phone calls for instance. I remember waking up to the phone ringing and it was scary, because something bad had to have happened to warrant a call that late. Turns out, it was a friend of mine who needed some advice. My parents were not too happy. And although I'm a pretty open person, I recognize that I have total control over what I reveal and who I reveal it to. And when someone violates that trust, they are out of the circle. Facebook works the same way for me, I can choose my level of privacy, what I reveal, who I reveal it to, it's all in the settings. Also, it's how I keep in touch with my family. (I have an aversion to cell phones) I hope that didn't sound like a sales pitch. It's merely my opinion on the matter.

Really really. Disgusting.

And the denim short-shorts in size 2 are almost as bad, although, as when I mentioned this in a group of school mothers recently, it was explained to me by another mum: "to show their cute little bum cheeks".

Oh. How obviously DUMB of me.

There was a dad at my son's old school who was a bikie (he did the afternoon school pick-ups). Nice bloke, very quiet, but shy, mainly because no-one bloody bothered talking to him. His son became friendly with my son and I spoke with the dad to organise a playdate. The other mums were shocked I'd actually go and talk to him and told me to not allow my son to go to their place for a play! LOL His wife, who was a bikie chick kinda gal, she was lovely too, and I promised to tell the other mums at school that I was given a bib before ripping the head of a chicken.

Too many people *do* judge books by their covers. Being in a place where prejudice is rife, I spend a lot of time rolling my eyes skywards....

Yeah, when you're not making sweeping statements about the place you now choose to inhabit.

I don't know where you live, perhaps Hicksville, but Australia is no different from any other country in that some people are racist, prejudiced w*nkers and some people aren't and let and let live. I'm sure the Land of the Long White Cloud isn't Utopia either.

What really annoys me is when you are looking for one pencil (or a sheet of clear paper) and no matter where you look, you can't find it!

I swear to god, the pencils just run away and hide and laugh in some dark corner.

Sorry but your signature is really aggravating me - it's huge and it's moving lots and it detracts from the message.

Other than that...it's great

Be the kind of woman that when you wake up in the morning the devil says "Oh crap, she's up again."
