A poem from my 5 book fantasy series called Of Atlantis scheduled for release this fall


I stand here before the Supreme being and all mortal men
Declaring my undying love for you
Back in the days of Atlantis, this is where our love was born, people from then considered our love a sin
I choose to stand by your side, making sure I kept my feeling from other's view.

You a queen, regal, with beauty, that could seduce any man
Secretly carrying my seed, being the vessel of a future king
That awful day, the devastation, I lost you, which for a long time I was a broken man
My heart was broken, on more happiness, my heart could no longer sing.

There is truth in the saying hell on earth
My hell was when fate decided, I would walk the path of life alone
Impregnated by the power of the Orion, I stayed in the shadows, so I would know of my son's birth
The king thinking it was his son, never knowing the truth, I watched him grow, within the shadows, I felt so alone.

Our child, born with the power of the Orion, was very special, destined to be a king
When he stepped into the king's shoes, at that moment, of him, I was so very proud
For the sake of the child, I kept silent, no one ever knew of my love for you, all through time, to this I would always cling
I never spoke of my love from my lips, but my heart knew, even though I couldn't make a sound.

My love for you has never died, my love for you is true and deep
Having the power of eternal life, over space and time my love has never died
After the devastation, I knew in death's grasp, my love would forever sleep
When that happened, all my grief, there was no one in which I could confide.

Trough all these years, I was very aware of the hole that remained in my heart
I have cried a million tears, the longing for you is always there
If there were only some way, to bring you back to me, together having a new life, a brand new start
Our love cut short by fate, which the hand dealt to me was so unfair.
