There seems to be some good success stories.
From what I understand you have to pay but it doesn't mean its okay.

Hi

I just googled it and the responses on absolutewrite.com are not favourable, but there are no first hand accounts. There's no evidence that this is a scam, but the consensus is that people are dubious. I'll keep looking.

update: This is interesting http://www.hollywoodscript.com/issue15.html - it does appear that they have contacts in the 'network' as they are from such worlds!

There are loads of search results breezy I would browse around before making up your mind.

Thank you very much starpanda.

Seeing as I'm nearly finished listening to my book, I was hoping to find a place soon.

I am unsure if I should send my book to an agent or a publisher.

Also I am unsure if I should send my book to New York, Toronto or the UK.

Funny, the easiest part was writing the book.

ah yes the eternal question...agent or publisher? When I first started out I looked at all the advice and that said 'send to an agent'. Then when I went to classes I got told to send direct to publishers, six years on and I'm still no wiser LOL

Funny, the easiest part was writing the book.
hahaha...true, very true.

I would send out multiples to New York, Toronto and the UK. You've nothing to lose but the postage.

What I like about agents, is the fact that they have the hands on. they know what is. I heard they take care of most of the advertising. And they know the best place to send your book.

Though for many, many years I have been checking out all kinds of places to advertise. And there are many, I am pretty sure I would do a good job. But like they say, while you're doing one thing your not doing another.

So I am pretty sure I will be doing alot less writing, if I have to take care of the advertising. Though I've heard it is a part of writing that is very satisfying.

Well then I guess I'll know more when the time comes. Even though I feel I am leaning more towards publishers. I also feel I would gain more knoledge by taking an agent.

Well I guess I'll have loads of time to sleep on it.

Again thank you for your help.

If I were you, I would be very suspicious of any literary agent that charges upfront money to represent your work. Once they've got your money, they have little incentive to actually find a publisher. It's better to get an agent who charges 10%-15% of royalties from published books.
