Don't tell me about your life
I don't wanna know

I can't decide on the things you reveal

Is this good?
Is that bad?
How can I answer you best?

And then you will go on
and on
and on

And I can't take it

If I need a messed up life to lament
well-
no outsourcing required

And if I need to know how good
life can be-
well you just stop talkin' and start walkin'

I will get the message

My friend/roommate is currently breaking up with his girlfriend... but they've been on some really rocky rocks for months, and man am I sick of hearing about it. So yeah, this poem hits me just right. well done sir.

This is.. okay no crit for now.

This broke my heart. Ow. Ouch. It's so perfectly sincere. That's really how people think and come up with how they think. This is a great example of something original said in an original way. I am glad you didn't polish this or stylize it. It's quick and cut well to demolish all writing forums in my head. It's before this poem and a new way to look at websites after reading this. I hope I made that make sense. Whatever.

Thanks for posting. Very cool.

edit.

No I had to look up Madrigals again. I wrote a whole post here about what I thought it meant. Alas. It was a clever post. You would have gotten a kick, maybe a quick laugh. Twas not to be. Madrigals is a new term. New and vast terrain of learning left undiscovered, rich gardens not yet studied by yours truly. Thanks for the new look on the whole thing. I wish you could explain yourself. It's a new concept. Ehh.... I'll figure things out if it's hard to type out.

I second Maidahl's first post; incisive piece.

Am I to understand, from your quoted post, that you have not yet received "The Roominghouse Madrigals" by Charles Bukowski?
Did you order it from Amazon as you said you were going to?

I had no idea what that meant.. "Did you get the madrigals." Read it and read through the quotes, ignoring them completely.

Out of context, not full title, me being slow and not familiar enough with it. I only read a few sections of his writing in bits and pieces a long while ago. Reference confused me. Lol. I thought you were making some melodic reference. You have no idea how long I spent trying to picture how "madrigals" affected the origins of this poem.

I kept thinking about an infinite or so possible inspirations. I didn't even see Bukowski and still don't because I never properly discovered an interest in his work. :/

And nope. Didn't order it. Hate to say, not my kind of purchase. Considered it though.
