Default New to "The Writer's Beat"

Well hello fellow writers,

I'm so glad to be here. I've been writing since I was a kid and was told that I was really good at it. After I joined the military I didn't have much time for writing as you can imagine. I'm just starting to find the inner writer in me again and I was looking for a forum to help me along the way. I'm a bit scared, but I'm ready to do this. Here goes!

welcome to your future

I write syfy a lot of it militarily oriented, space battles, also retired Air Force, war planner.

what branch were you in?

What genre do your write?

there is a guy just started this morning looking for first hand Navy/Marine information.

I guess your past will help you in critiquing some of the stories here.

I wish you the best of luck and will help when ever possible.

Hello Scarlet, welcome to Writer's Beat. Have a cup of teas and jump right in. But please, do take a look at the rules just to see how we run here. I bed it's way better than the military in terms of strictness

The more you comment on other's works, the more you'll get comments yourself, so don't be shy to speak out. If you have any questions at wall, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to help you out.

Hope you have lots of fun here with us!

Great writing is not simply words on a page, it's a conduit between the writer and the reader's souls.

Welcome to our little corner of the web. I too write syfy, but read anything. I know everyone here will help they can. I look forward to reading your work.
To say you're not afraid of the dark is to delude yourself. Everyone is afraid of the unknown and the place without light is the biggest representation of the unknowable.

Welcome to The Beat, Scarlet.

Hit the boards runnin', and give a few reviews to get them. The golden reciprocity rule. Critique to get critiqued. You dig?

See ya' 'round way...
