Hello all,
I was an early member here at Writer's Beat, became a Mod/Admin, and ran the WB Quarterly for a year. If you remember me (or maybe you've heard the rumors...), please say hi!
I came back here today to spread the word about SPFBO2, or Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off Round 2. This is a contest initiated last year by fantasy author Mark Lawrence and it's a great chance for authors of self-published fantasy to have their work read by well-known book bloggers/reviewers.
Last year's winner (selected from 250+ submissions) has now received a traditional publishing contract and the bloggers provided over 100 reviews! This is a fantastic opportunity, but Mark needs 250 submissions or there will be no contest.
I've entered my own novel, The Blood-Tainted Winter, and would really love to see the contest go forward. (So, yes, I am in fact here for selfish reasons.

) If you have a qualifying novel out in the wild already or are days away from releasing it, please consider entering. There's really no reason not to!
