Icon7 Hi! Not good at introductions

Hi...I am so not good at introductions. I have been writing since I was a teen, which was more then a few years ago. I have published a few odd and ends as poetic piece, a short piece, and have written one novel, however have had no success in that going any place. My poetry for the most part is free verse, but I have tried to write more structure. I have lots of pieces starter, however my biggest problem is I start pieces, then they seem frizzle out so I don't seem to finish them too much. The pieces I have written have been from slice of life to those dealing around supernatural themes and magic. For a while I stopped writing, but currently I am trying to get back into writing. I write mostly for myself, but at times it would be nice to get some feedback on what I have written and perhaps even improve my writing. Anyways, I think this serves as an introduction, if not, feel free to ask me questions. Have a great day everyone!

Hi MissDragonPoet,

Welcome to the WB.

Thanks for the lovely introduction and telling that you like free verse. It is pretty much the only form of poetry I do not dislike. As you can probably tell already, I'm not much of a poetry person myself. Glad you like it though, because we have a pretty active Poetry section.

Before you run off to read and crit there, please take the time to read our FAQs and find out how we like to do things around here.

Now, go on, read what others have posted before you, offer them your honest and constructive critique. That way, when you're ready to post your own work, the favour might well be returned.

And that novel? Start fresh, post some of it on our Write Here forum and see where it takes you.

Have fun while you're here. Oh, yes, when you feel bored, our Cafe never closes, there are some pretty good discussions going on over there or just play a Board Game. Have a cup of my fresh coffee and dive in.

Hi Miss Dragon Poet,

A warm welcome to the beat! I hope you feel at home already! As Lucky said, please check the FAQs as they will give you a good idea for how things work around here. And just to let you in on a not so secret secret, our doors are always open, the coffee is hot, the tea is fruity and the biscuits are all mine

I hope you find some little nuggets of wisdom to help you finish and polish a full manuscript. Look forward to reading some of your poetry,

Loz

Hi Miss Dragonpoet I'm the same really, I've been writing since I was eight and since the age of twelve I've written two novels, though haven't done much with either of them because my parents take ages to proofread anything!
If you look around, I'm sure you'll find a Dragon King lurking around too
Anyway, I hope you enjoy yourself, and I hope to see you around in the Cafe some time.
Dela
