Default New writer here

Hello,

I've been dabbling with writing for many years. I get an idea every so often and start writing but never quite have the follow-through to get anything done. The only thing I've ever gotten done is a fanfic for a the game Darkest Dungeon. I posted it to their forums but their fanfic forum is dead so it never got any views.

I've got some ideas bubbling right now for a collection of disconnected stories surrounding a global event, similar to World War Z if anyone has read that(or even loosely HP Lovecraft). I'll post some of that soon, hopefully get some feedback.

I found this site while researching way to get attention from publishing companies. I see a banner ad for this lulu.com. Anybody have any experience with this? Anybody make any money from this or any other sources?

Thanks

("...welcome to writersbeat..." went the resident goblin ever so eager to read anything going, and to leave a good impression too, then adding "...I'm here most days, and although I don't cut it as one of those writertypes per se, I mean I write all wrongly myself but then again I suppose if you do write like everyone else then "like everyone else" is all that it'll ever be, so no, instead I write as I see fit then...", and with that the goblin simply promised to read whatever Dysfunkshinal posted upon the forum, relating "...doesn't matter where you post it now because I always hit the "new posts" button upon showing up here, meaning that you have at least one reader to start off with then, more to follow no doubt, oh and if ever you wish to chat in posts, look no further than the cafe section...", thus with a sway of hand the goblin bowed low in a welcoming gesture hoping that his welcome had not been too unbecoming by half again, mind you how else should goblins do their welcomes anyway)

Welcome to this little corner of the internet.

Darkest dungeon is a pleasant little game. It's not a shipping fanfic, is it?

Otherwise, I could see that particular type of story work very well. I'm working on something I think of as 'lovecraftian'. It's an interesting sub-genre

I ship Misty and Ash on Pokémon (although, I think Ash should have hit May—she was my favorite).

Thanks for the replies. Haven't had time to check in.

I had to look up what "shipping" means, and no, it wasn't. It was more of an excerpt from the middle of a dungeon run. Had an idea for another one, but it never went anywhere. I love the universe that game takes place in.

I'm going to try to read and post some stuff soon.
