Default Skinnydipping

The plum fingers of a lilac night
Bruise the fringes of a waning sunset.
Soundless waves stroke a sandy canvas;
Their inky swathes running off the page.
Sandals lie like shipwrecks long forgotten,
Left standing ragged and abandoned
By their owner’s wanton toes.

If I could swim around naked in this poem, I totally would. Loved every word of it, the last line was an ideal finish. No nits.

This is really nice -- just shy of too pretty, I think. The flow and fluid language of this supports the idea. Refreshing.

I really liked the first two lines, really set the tone for the rest of the poem which is really well written!
