Default My very first e-book!

So anyway, I just published my very first book today (in English, no less!) and I wanted to share this excellent bit of news with this forum, which has helped me immensely so far.

So from an aspiring author to a bunch of established ones and the rest of you wonderful people, thanks!

Also, I published the e-book for free on bibliocracy.com. Thought I should share.

Cool! Congratulations.

Out of curiosity, why did you publish to that site instead of Kindle? And/or Smashwords?

I haven't been in the writing society in quite a long time. I used read a super amount books because I worked third shift, so sue me. I've taken college journalism courses and written for some newspapers, but I have never done an "E" book. Does companies except those types of writings more since there is basically no overhead for an online publisher? I wish the best of luck to Atrelegis. How do these online publishers pay? Do you get a certain percentage of the gross downloads? Do they take control of right to your novel? Searching this site gives me hope. I wish I would hear something back about my movie treatment so I can move on to the next project!

Once again Congratulations. Go buy yourself a nice dinner on me.

Congrats! This is up my alley so I am going to download it.

Not many westerns out there. You picked a good genre to get noticed.

The only better genre would be a Western about a Vampire sheriff who is married to a zombie and the wrangles werewolves in his spare time. The Vampire sheriff is embroiled in a war with aliens who are planing to re route a comet to hit earth and blow it to smithereens. The sheriff stumbles across Nicolas Cage's body in some sort of frozen state of animation. He awakens Cage, and eventually the two are able to defeat the aliens after finally talking Robert Downey Jr. to quit drinking and join them as Ironman.

That is the type of genre that people are looking for these days.

If you publish an e-book, is it worth more if it has the author's electronic signature on it?

Congratulations. Love the cover. Did you make this yourself or hire a professional graphic artist?

Except take out the vampire sheriff and the zombie and the werewolves and the aliens and the comet and Nicolas Cage and Robert Downey Junior and just put in lots of sex and BDSM.
