repost from elsewhere
at which point harry lime turned to the goblin and continued "...so who is the good guy here, those who perpetuate a terrifying war on terrorism or those who become the terrorists by it, well now, do you see those little black dots down there..." pointing to a unknown bunch of people below, continuing "...just how many of them would you kill to kill a terrorist amongst them then, I mean 98% collateral damage by unmanned drones goblin, that's how many, plus it produces more terrorists than it reduces doesn't it, and how many years has it been to date too, rather looks like their self perpetuation is of prime concern here, simply they want more terrorism or else they wouldn't go around creating terrorists so readily, 12 years on, how many countries later and how much safer are we, so goblin friend let me ask again who is the good guy here, just join up the dots to see what has been done, what's being done, and no doubt what will be done too, all in the name of anti terrorism now, where the media treats us like idiots hiding the obvious behind a waving flag a patriotism, but who is the good guy now..."

A repost from that same place where the form is more important than the message.
"Excellent post xxxxxxx!" The little mouse smiles broadly and is saddened at the same time. "Still the discussion about how one posts instead of the topic at hand. Why not just tolerate each other and allow for ones preference of writing in posts? Why the need to question how one posts? Wy try to correct a new found friend for speaking with a funny accent why not listen and try to hear past the strange twang and hear the message, answer the question posed and have a general fun time, or would one not be able to because one is stuck in the discussion of how one should speak/write." She hangs her head and sighs. "xxxxxx is right you know, fiction is third person too, filled with narration and dialogue and yet when in posts it is ridiculed and condemned. Why can't one just come and read, and if one doesn't like what one reads leave and not try to correct, or judge. Live and let live, each their own and those who want to join, join. Like xxxxxxx did, or not and leave if one doesn't like the form. None is forcing one to come and come back time and time again."

repost from elsewhere, the subject of writer's block
whereupon the goblin landed fresh form fending off yet another hoard of stomping mummies on his "last post" thread somewhere else, saying "...one of the most overlooked and simplest ways to overcome writer's block is to engage in rapport with someone else, so share your stuff a bit, converse a bit about the plot now, just bring it to life in your posts and it will live for you as you to yourself, plus try out different writing tricks and styles in posts, but remember if you don't enjoy what you do, then something is probably wrong and back will return your writer's block by it, so look to your posts now, because if you yourself aren't looking at your post, then your readers certainly are, where if you narrate, illustrate and genuinely become more imaginative, who knows what posts you may yet make with a mind that seems on fire for its ideas now..."

repost from elsewhere, new, the "please may I troll your forum" thread
at which point the goblin showed up, pushed the kids aside and then asked "...are you sure you want to be a troll now, I mean a troll never has the initiative whereas becoming a livewriter is far more fun for the fact that you have the trolls trolling you rather than you trolling them, in short, years pass and the trolls have nothing to show for their trolling whereas if you kept on rehashing your posts across forumland, um tantamount to trolling in its way, those rehashed posts would get refined into something worth reading then...", and with that the goblin attached a youtube stream to show how something slightly bad can be refined into something really awful instead

("...wrong time of year..." mentioned the goblin down with hey-fever)
repost from elsewhere, new
"...just that the present grows dark in a world that barely notices the nature of a beast whose sharp talons seem so far apart as to have no connection whatsoever with one's dailylife or with one another..." mentioned the goblin, explaining "...for indeed cyprus does seem a long way off from washington now, but no, for however one cuts it those zombie banks still have to be unloaded upon the taxpayer in ever increasing numbers resulting in a mixture of unrest and repression as seen but not noted, yet the system can't write its debts off in any other way so it's this very austerity that is put forward as the cure to our ills that actually causes the unrest and repression that the media so begrudgingly reports piecemeal if at all...", at which point the goblin just recollected "...so perhaps then, that beast, the one that is both there and not there in the bible, is in part this beast of debt borrowed unto itselt..."

Who here is a feminist? Does anyone still think that feminism is a force for good? I don't buy it. Women need to be mindful of what men find attractive, and being belligerent, loud, and not taking care of one's appearance is not attractive to men, and unfortunately a lot of feminists feel that they should be accepted as they are. Women also need to behave like women, rather than trying to be like men.
|
"...feminism should be up to the individual..." replied the goblin suspecting that the given norm was a trick to have one buy into something like a good christian woman or an american lady or other such agendas, when all along one had to set up one's own values or else one was just trying to be accepted by faking it, adding "...either way, if one's not perfectly happy with the way one is without a man, then one is not ready for a relationship, moreover, if one can't be oneself with one's partner then one's partner is holding one back from being who one really is...", in fact, the goblin didn't want his wife to be a barbie doll, marriage was ever a compromise, but he was old enough to understand that when she is happy is when the marriage is working out, anything less would be straining the relationship and detrimental in the long run

"...just the occasional black tie truce where family members would meet up over some death, go through the motions, and split up again..." mentioned the goblin
|
the trickster noted: "one must kill the extended family, as one desires not to remain forever locked in childhood..."
|
"...how right you are, but death pulls us back each time..." replied the goblin who probably wouldn't go to his brother's funeral when it happened, explaining "...no, I refused to be checked for blood type match simply knowing that it lead to the bone marrow transplant and the rest of that very painful experience that I wouldn't and couldn't do for myself even, so I guess I'm not welcome there anymore...", instead, and to add insult to injury perhaps, the goblin had offered to help out with the cost of the funeral, explaining "...so finally his vices have caught up with him where still he smokes and drinks for sure, so why save someone who won't save themselves, where he was almost at retirement age too..."

repost from elsewhere, new, the "Anonymous' Posters to Pay $13M in Suit" thread
http://abcnews.go.com/m/story?id=161...6v%3D133247963
morning and the rain fell unabated once more, somehow the goblin, reading this thread from his bistro now, knew of that simple equation that zero times zero equals zero where somehow the anonymous flaming someone else anonymously results in yet more anonymity here, though perhaps the real lesson to learn has nothing to do with possible libel and everything to do with covering up one's tracks instead, saying "...me I use linux, my ip address is fluid, my material address behind the ip address is a standard linux clone and lastly I give away laptops to bistros letting the regulars use them at will, why, because there is no freedom of speech where one is held accountable, and besides too, what with the NDAA, the national defence authorization act, nothing stops them from torture, indefinite detention without redress to the due process of law, and arbitrary execution of anyone they deem merits it...", in fact, the goblin never flamed anyone but the times were clearly turning for the worse now where anything one writes can incriminate one, concluding "...your duty is not to be cowered into silence, but you should be careful what you write on forumland, today's laxness towards you might turn into tomorrow's incrimination of you, for anything you write is just out-there now..."

"...how often I forget that nothing is really real here, that I like you am only an unprovable persona between us now, anonymous for all my words expressing otherwise, yet somehow freed by an understanding that it's my alter-ego that looks back at me from my written words..." voiced the goblin to the slot over his coffee upon this cold morning, so he rehashed it his way, saying "... as I was posting upon the thread, another me appeared instead, who was me yet another way, much like that picture of dorian gray..."

repost from elsewhere, the "what are you doing" thread
oh the usual stuff, the UFO had landed of course, and one of the aliens standing around had calmly asked the goblin why those female aliens always seemed to spend so much time in the restroom, and if it was ok to light up while waiting for them now, "...go ahead and smoke, so then do you visit earth often..." replied the goblin, not really liking the smoke but still admiring their spacecraft, "...why yes goblin, earth's just one of those great intergalactic tourist destinations isn't it, just human nature at its very best, that rat race on a sinking titanic of massive debt with runaway climate change, well that's what it is like when you see it from outer space like this, but then on the grand scale of things what would anyone expect from primitive creatures barely out of the stone age now, I mean what's a couple thousand of their earth years against those lightyears needed to travel anywhere in space today...", by now the females with the young ones had turned up, and somehow the goblin, seeing the evident disappointment on the parents faces, guessed the rest even without knowing what they were saying amongst themselves, hearing something like "...what, no way, look, we didn't come all this way just to go to mcdonalds, we've got plenty of them at home too...", yes, some things just seemed so universally universal these days

"...agreed, nobody wants a nobody to read that either..." replied the goblin, continuing "...instead, they would really like a real somebody to reply now, where when they've read this too, that they then quit pretending they haven't...", no the goblin admitted that there were always those humans who found even a few lines challenging, adding "...not to worry, for those who are struggling with the written word here I have added pictures to help you come to terms with your predicament, where you can thank later then when your reading level goes up slightly..."

"...probably but then again it's a very valid point well worth reading though..." mused the goblin upon it, quick to add "...just, if one is dumbing down in order to be accepted upon forums by those you don't know, then doesn't that show you your own weakness here, whereas getting the thoughts right to oneself must be the objective here, or else it just becomes a game where years will pass and where time will finally laugh at you...", in fact, the goblin never expected anyone to read his posts, only that he expected himself to write them, for his was to witness now and witness he must

do you guys ever think that we are all retards, and that the way we see the world is some type of retard illusion, and everyone sees us as waterheads
|
"...the people in power certainly think that the rest of us are stupid because they continue to unload their bank debt onto the taxpayer, where you then think that the answer is to cut welfare as if that will solve things, but no, they will only borrow yet more money after cutting welfare too, why, because the root cause of our woes today is not government mismanagement it's banking sector debt,..." replied the goblin, adding "...if the banking sector is too big to fail where the only answer they can come up with throwing good money after bad, then of course the banks have no reason to change their ways, the moneychangers by way of a fractional reserve system can make money out of thin air, plus they can keep profits for themselves while dumping loses onto the taxpayer, so yes they think we're so stupid that we haven't noticed, moreover, they think that a vote every four years between two parties with the same agenda will somehow keep us quiet forever, yet maybe their right..."

"...my encouraging you to write is correct though to write in my style is not what I want..." replied the goblin who was often misunderstood in that way, saying "...simply, I encourage everyone to write in their posts in their own manner where whatever one chooses as one's writing style is contrived to begin with, but livewriting is only the air/edit/backup of posts, where there are those who do not post pictures, and those who use first person, those who use perfect grammar and punctuation too., in fact, anything to hew the post into one's own as there are no rules in livewriting though one's hitcount soon tells one if one can be counted amongst their number...", whereupon the goblin just smiled saying "...xxxxx, if you store your posts and generate a massive readership by way of hitcount then you are a livewriter by default and not because anyone says so either, but either way the goal is not to become a livewriter here, ah no, instead the goal is not to let this infinite forumland rob you of your finite time upon it..."

Yesterday I spent all day with my mom just hanging out and I realized that she was the ONLY reason I am still alive. Made me realize how much and how little I really have.

"...all the externals can be taken away from you, but I imagine too, that your goal in this dailylife is to support those you love where when they die your next goal becomes to transfer them to some cherished place deep within your heart and living on for them still, so perhaps death is just this transferring process then, a process of transferring loved ones inwards and carrying on living in their name like before..." mused the goblin who lived with his ghosts then, adding "...those ghosts appear in unguarded moments, and the older one gets the more they seem to return too, do I make sense to you, perhaps not then, though you will understand later and remember this post when in your old age for the old carry their dead, yes that's what it's like..."

Ah yes dinosaurs... one of the most useless forms of pornography in the world is dinosaur pornography, but because of Rule 34...
Stop me if you have heard this one, a stegosaurus is in bed with a triceratops, the stegosaurus starts going down on her when he suddenly stops and withdraws his head.
A bit alarmed the triceratops asks, "what's wrong baby?"... the stegosaurus responds, "You... you have such a big ..." and makes a circle gesture in the air... the triceratops sheepishly explains, "Yeah, I... err... fucked a brachiosaurus"... to which the stegosaurus responds, "but I have seen brachiosaurus penises before, they are only (makes another circle in the air) this big, but you're (makes another circle in the air) this big"...
The triceratops even more sheepishly than before responds, "yeah but the bastard fingered me first"
Badda ching!
For some reason I always think of this joke when I see a dinosaur, I was the only one laughing during Jurassic Park.

Is he: powerless to stop it? Not willing to do so? The force behind it? I can't imagine these events mesh well with the idea of a god that is both omnipotent AND benevolent.

"...probably about ten of us by now, but it's hard to draw the line because anyone can do a post in that seems in a livewriting style to someone else, where it's hard to define what exactly that style is, for example there are those who don't post pictures, and others who don't use third person and still others who use perfect grammar and punctuation, yet somehow you know that you are faced with a livewriter, probably by way of the hitcount to his or her threads and for feeling that one has come away with something..." replied the goblin whose goal was not to waste his time on this forum doing soundbites, adding "...at some point one slows down, bucks their trend, and writes in one's posts for oneself alone, perhaps finding a picture to underline one's sentiment too, why, because at the end of the year one will have something of oneself, where one's ability both to write and illustrate will improve measurably too, whereas those who had just posted one line soundbites simply because everyone else had posted soundbites without thinking further, will have exactly what of themselves I wonder, mere soundbites by then...", in fact, the goblin didn't mind when others didn't read his posts, after all, no one was real here where forumland was utterly transient too, but the ability to post remained within one making this posting a counter conditioning process towards dailylife and the given, why, because writing more than soundbites forces one to write it out with his thoughts clearly there for all to see

Flea. Is it possible for you to make post a without going into your roleplay, or are you beyond the point of no return by now? Would just doing a soundbite cause you pain? Stooping to the level of a normal poster....

"...well, if I were actually saying something by doing that soundbite then, then yes I might do a soundbite at some point though the two do seem very contradictory in nature to one another..." replied the goblin wondering in return if xxxxx would like to do more with his posts than what he had done to date, adding "...and so, if you practice writing you'll get better at writing, moreover if you add a picture to your text each time you'll get better at illustrating, plus if you store away your posts editing them into something more substantial then you'll know who you are by what you post too...", simply the goblin was just another livewriter then, smiling "...xxxxx, no one tells you when to write in your posts, but at some point you just dawns on you that editing your posts in something more than soundbites make sense, especially if you can then repost them to other forums to find the livewriters there, yes, that's what I'm doing here too, my agenda then is see who amongst you can write..."

repost from elsewhere, new
"...good to see we're still all at it..." went the goblin once again in chamonix where the snow had fallen around him in the month of may as the first time since 1983, and who had been following the weather pattern of late wondering if one really was witnessing a mini ice age perhaps, and that perhaps too the news coverage wasn't coming clean now, though not that the media ever did anything bar play catch up with the events after they had occured, saying "...for when the internet rivals the media, which todate of course it doesn't now, then they will take over this internet too, and the truth will once more be buried in mere trivia and sheer distraction, whereas global debt, climate deterioration, and loss of civil liberties will continue unabated and as half heartedly unreported on as usual, yes if one doesn't become a journalist for oneself, where perhaps one's journal are simply these posts between us, then one will become their dumbed down reader as expected perhaps, but you post on in spite of the trend precisely not to dumb down, and that which you post is your way of saying "here is my account of things then, note how I do witness in my way"..."

repost from elsewhere, new, the "barack obama murdered 4 americans with drones" thread
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-...drone-strikes/
"...since we are so far into debt today, I doubt that there is anyone, other than that mouthpiece media itself, who doesn't see that the western hegemony is heading headlong into war, so we fuel them with weapons to fight yesterday's enemy the soviets, and then fuel them with hated and justification when we kill them arbitrarily too, where we then we choose to call them our friends when their fighting against president assad in syria and terrorists when they turn their attention rightly towards us..." mentioned the goblin, continuing "...put yourself in their shoes then, would you like to lose your family members to the whims of some foreign superpower's president, and if you weren't a terrorist before, wouldn't you get mad and become one by it, but isn't that what the western hegemony wants, I mean look at what you have all lost since 9/11, your civil rights, the military budget up by whatever, NDAA, etc., and all in the name of protecting you too, no this will go to war I repeat, why, because what we see is a scenario typical of fall of empire times, that's all, each empire has been here before and it's end is always marked in bloodshed..."

"Quite clever, my sweet," whispered the all familiar tone from the void known commonly as the internet. "You've created the contest again but under a new guise. I'll win, you know. As I've always promised to do." And with that a teasing chuckle of sorts brought forth the ever moving wisps of transparent smoke that, with time, would form the spirit here, where she felt she may find solace once more.
"No reposts from me just yet...but they will come, with time, as they always have. Until then, Jaikin and I shall haunt this dwelling and keep to the games." She smiled and withered away with the nonexistent wind, leaving only her ever faithful mouser behind, who played his innocence to the strangers with a mewl.

(the goblin recognized the spirit's handwriting straight off where few could write like her so the forum was in for a treat then, saying "...they're not hostile here, so whenever you're ready then, plus they're a bit touchy about pictures where apparently we're to keep them here it seems, an acceptable compromise considering the readership on offer, no other writer's forum bar publishedauthors is so obliging and yes this place is very advant guard writingwise...")
