Default Help with wording.

I am trying to come up with a way to express the air you expel when you blow.

The context is blowing out the candles on a cake and the air blowing away the image of the person holding the cake

I have the word blow out and blew and am trying to avoid repetition. I am trying right now I have with the air from my breath.

I am just stuck, need a little advice

thanks

"Exhaled."

"I released the breath trapped within me, extinguishing the candles and the image of the person before me as well."

"Sighed" (if a gentle release of breath)

umm..... I'll let you know if I come up with anything else.

I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow you away.

What a weird tradition. The birthday person breathes all over the cake and then everyone eats it.

Breathes and probably often spits... especially if they are trick candles. That is why I don't think trick candles are a good idea.
