I read a lot and read on an average two to 3 books a week...currently reading "Whispers of Evil" by Kay Hooper, on a crime wave this month.

I'm reading a blog on prehistory. It really fascinates me.

I was FINALLY given a copy of "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay" last month and I cannot wait to crack into that thing.
So friggin' excited because this coming weekend is 100% free and clear, so I can indulge at will, mwa ha ha!

Currently, the Wheel of Time. I am currently almost done with the 8th book, The Path of Daggers. Book 9, Winter's Heart, is on it's way in the mail (along with Beowulf and Stephen King's "On Writing".)
After I finish that, I have a list of 30+, maybe 40+ books to read

Marshin, "On Writing" is great! Some of the beginning is a bit boring, just King's life but it's still worth reading.

Oh really? That's good, thanks a lot!!! I saw it a few years ago and wanted it, but I just got it the other day for my birthday (thanks Mom's credit card :P)
Anyone reading/have read A Song of Ice and Fire? Is it any good? I'm probably going to read it.

My husband just blew through the A Song of Fire and Ice series and he LOVED it!
I've just finished 50 shades of grey (horrid, horrid writing - but I *had* to see what all the fuss was about) and am finally going to start The Help!

Blood Meridian, Cormac McCarthy. Doesn't grip me the way The Road did - I read that in a single night and couldnt put it down - but it's a cool as fuck read just the same. It's like a written version of all my favourite Clint Eastwood westerns rolled into one but with oh so much more horror and blood.
Not for the fainthearted.

The Postmortal by Drew Magary.
Picked it up on a whim and absolutely love it. It's sharp and hilarious but makes me think about death in an entirely different way.

Hi Fishstic! Have you read the Book Thief by Markus Zusak? If you have, how does this book compare? And if you haven't, I recommend it
I'm still reading Tess Of The Durbevilles - haven't read much of it though - and Thousand Splendid Suns, which I absolutely adore.

It's fantastic. It's one of my favourite books, and a serious contender for being my favourite book.

The Take by Martina Coles. It's a good story, but at times I find it a bit slow, just want to speed up a little bit.

On book 2 of the Song of Fire and Ice series. Really enjoying it so far!
The previous book that I (re)read was Pillars of the Earth, which probably remains my favourite book of all time.

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. One of those books that worms its way under your skin without you realising. I find myself nearing the end and forcing myself to put the book down because I don't want it to finish yet.
