Darcie Chan, mentioned in the article, is a client of mine.

The advice in the article is good, as far as it goes, but neglects the most important part, and the factor that made Darcie a #1 best-seller.

You need a book that isn't shit.

But, like so many, that article tells absolutely nothing about how to move a book, much less being a best-seller.
It's "steps" are what everybody does.
Get A review????? You have to have 10 average over 4 stars to even get on to those ebook tip sheets.
Pick a category. Well, duh...

It's really just SEO content crap dressed up using somebody else's name.

Mike, are you saying to dumb your book down so it is absorbed more readily by the majority of people?

Or perhaps easily changed/morphed into what the publisher thinks will sell?

Heaven forbid. If you dumb down, you get dumb readers.

If you want to sell a book, write romance, find a way of telling the same story in different permutations over and over and be prepared to write 6 a year.

Exactly. You should do a book about that. :-)
And don't forget to get a boyfriend with absurdly cut abs so you can do cover shots cheap.
