The Whiskey Brothers by Reddy Dean

It's a first draft, but it's very, very good, and will only get better on the rewrite.

Can we nominate poems/songs, or is it just prose?

Anything posted between the dates of this nomination period, at the end the members get to vote for their favorite amongst the nominated works, we have had single chapters from a larger work win before.

I second 34 Unread Messages by Non Serviam. It's just a fresh idea that you don't see too often. I loved it.

Please, don't forget to add in a link to the piece. Saves from having to search.

I would like to nominate this story because it is so well thought out, without being thought out I suppose. Little planning allowed for a flexible story and then the bits just added up. The grammar is terrible, but look past that. If you understand the story then it should be enjoyable - remember reading is entertainment, yes?

I second Formalities and Ted!

Is it bad form to nominate your own? If not, I'd like to nominate La Casa de los Ancianos and maybe Language Vector.

If it is bad form, feel free to ignore and/or delete this.

Erm, well . . . yes actually, since in our Members' Choice Announcements it reads: Have you recently read something by another member that you feel deserves some recognition?

So . . . yeah. Lol. But, if you see anything else along the way you feel might be worthy for nomination, this thread will be open until midnight EDT, Sept. 15th.

I'd like to nominate 'Death' by JP Clyde. This poem confounded my expectations and has real promise, I think. It's also very creepy, which is totally my bag so to speak . Are we allowed to make more than one nomination btw?
